Geez I hate being a slacker...well, don't get me wrong, I love it at times when it pays off, like sacking off some work to go the bar and finding a promo on my favourite drink, or staying in when I should be in class and catching a bonus episode of something good on the TV...and other such occasions.
But there are other times, like as right now in fact, when the full force of my slacking is dragging me down. I failed a module...i slacked too much during the real thing and now it's come to resits and I'm still slacking. I know I shouldn't and I know all about how this is my opportunity to set myself up for a good degree and a good career, blah blah blah...but I think my habit has gone way past reasonable...maybe I need to go into rehab or something...or just make an effort to get off my lazy ass and do what I'm supposed to.
I know I'm the only one to blame, there just seems to be so much other better stuff to be doing instead of my studying and work., At the moment, I'm in the computer base of my college, with a scrren open for Uber, one for my e-mail account, one for my original essay (the one that got me the fail) and one for he current one (which will hopefully get me a pass)
This particular assignment for sports coaching is 3000 words. I'm currently on 1603 and slowing down. It's now 1pm and I have about 2 hours to finish it.
Over the past 3 years, my housemates and I have nearly perfected the art of beasting assignments overnight which are due in the next morning. Our favourite term when we've got less than 12hours to deadline is: "it's ok, we're 24carat fucking geniuses anyway, it'll be fine." (now becoming less and less true for me though - think I'm diminished down to about a 2 carat no-brainer at the moment) We've become legends in spinning off a 2000 or 3000 word assignment starting at 11pm (after all the good TV's finished) and going on throught the night, texting each other from different rooms in the house:
Me: How many words have you done now? I've done 600
housemate: 600 and something. 6hours until we have to print off.
3hr later
Me: I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! 200 words and a conclusion to go!
housemate: Woohoo! I'm nearly ready to print off!
In fact, the only real competition between us is who can start the latest and finish still the earliest. Our other housemate does every essay at least a week before they're due...but they're pretty shit anyway, I think there has to be some sense of pressure and urgency there to really get the best out of it...apart from this one that is.
Shit. Stuck again, How can demonstrations be organised for efficient time management and maximisation of learning? How can what? Like I know!
Anyway, back to the folds of it, 1393 words to go.
I'd be grateful for any comments at this point, I'm not gonna be fussy, just want an excuse to keep coming back to Uber and brighten the day a bit more. I don't care what you say but it'd be nice just to have some happy thoughts.

Yes, I'm in England. Hopefully this answers all your questions! (and no, not jerking off, just saddos who get excited - in a NON-sexual way - about finishing a beast of an assignment)
My college/uni is ghey and therefore calls the computer labs computer bases.
Module=a unit of work, one area of a main subject (also ghey)
resit=a second chance at passing a failed module (for dumb-asses)

>> I failed a module...i slacked too much during the real thing and now it's come to resits and I'm still slacking.
WTF is a module? WTF is resits? Are you going to school in England or something?
>> I'm in the computer base of my college
Are you in a military institution? Normally these are called labs, not bases.
>> 6hours until we have to print off.
WTF? Is that like jerking off?
