Do you remember when I was younger? How I used to sit there and watch you get ready for your dates, I would pick out your jewelry, tell you which dress to wear, and make sure your hair was just right. I wanted to be just like you.
You had everything. Your boyfriend was the best looking kid in high school. I remember how much he adored you. I remember how he would come to the house and teach me how to play the guitar; he helped me get my curveball just right. I was so proud to have you at my softball games. I would say to me friends "That's my sister over there!" You were everything I wanted to be.
As I grew older you would tell me what to tell mom and dad so I could go out with you and your friends. You taught me how to smoke my first joint. It was so much fun hanging out with you and your friends. Mom and Dad didn't have a clue. Because of you, I knew all the tricks.
When you met Anthony, I thought "When I get married, my husband will be just like him." I was so excited to be in your wedding. He, like myself, adored you.
He would do anything for you. He sat back and watched as you wasted away. He pretended not to know that you were sleeping around. He ignored the fact that you spent all your money on drugs. He walked away when they repossessed the car. And he followed when you had to move back home because they were taking the house. But still, he loved you.
We fell back into our old routine, hanging out with friends every night, smoking drinking, driving around and acting stupid. But that night something was different; you were overdoing it. I have never seen you lose it like you did that night. You told me you weren't drunk, yet you went the wrong way down that road. You laughed as I screamed at you. You told me it was ok, that you knew the area so well, to trust you. You laughed as you hit that car. We almost died that night. So often would I trust my life in your hands, but never again.
We went out the other night. You agreed to go but said you wouldn't have fun. You bragged to all my friends. You bragged that you were so much older than them, yet could still party like the rest of us. You told them stories. Of how you live in the fabulous apartment in New York when really you live with a friend in Springfield. You told them that you have a degree in Finance, when really you flunked out of college. You spoke of your husband, when really you were eyeing the kid in the corner. You thought you would fit in that night, when really, twenty people lost respect for a person they just met.
I learned everything I know from you. You taught me how to wear makeup; you taught me how to drive. You told me everything I needed to know about boys and being a woman. And just when I thought I learned all there was to know from you, you taught me the most valuable lesson of life: I don't want to be like you.

It's nothing personal- I think that it mostly stems from the username 'Cutiepie'. That, and you didn't understand a post that I wrote. Yes, I'm a sad, bitter person. At least I'm not a sad, bitter, vindictive person, because that would result in several -2's. Luckily, I'm not THAT bitter.

At least you saw what was happening. You probably wish you could have done something to stop it.

Well written. Your sister sounds kind of cool though, if she's not seeing anyone right now send her my way.

Very sad. I went through something very similar with one of my brothers when I was 16. I really thought I hated him at the time
Hmph ...just hated what he had let himself become.

that reminds me of the comercial where the dad catches the son rolling a joint and asks him where he learned how to do that and the kid says, "I learned it from YOU Dad!". Me and my dad joke about that one. after we smoke.
but seriously, that was good. creepy good like those lowbrow.com messages that totally creep you out cause you know they're true.
