Yes this is a rant and I'm sorry , but I have to vent. I'm tired of people in cars not having consideration for bikers. If you want to see what I mean try biking in the Chicago area. You'll be cut off, ran off the road, given the finger....you name it, it'll happen. These have happened to me many times but no real problems. Till today. I was biking to work ,a little late. Now when your on a bike you can pass stopped cars on the shoulder, which i did. There were cars lined up at red light, I passed a few to make it to the light, but I was stopped. And when I say stopped I mean by a car door. This fucker was about 20 feet from the light, threw open his door and WHAM right into I went. Flipped over the handle bars and some how landed on my feet. Unharmed it chewed the guy out as he walked away. That was it , no appology....The car took off. What the fuck man?? Was I in the wrong? Maybe....but please, please have some respect for the bikers.

You won't like my answer. I don't like bikers when I'm driving.
I have almost hit them more than a few times - and not on purpose.
They're hard to see and sometimes all over the fucking road.
