I have often felt that the rating system on Uber is not expansive enough to adequately describe the extremes of idiocy and artistry that can be found within. I suggest the following, modified system:
+6 Nobel Prize for Literature Candidate
+5 Kicker of All Ass
+4 Made Me Smile
+3 Seen it somewhere, but still pretty good.
+2 Wasted Potential, but nice try.
+1 You have risen to the level of mediocrity.
0 Adequate.
-1 Solid Shite, but didn't make me angry.
-2 Hooked on Phonics worked for you, but your post sucks.
-3 Seen it somewhere, and it was better there.
-4 Made me feel nauseous and lonely.
-5 Don't bother posting ever again.
-6 Surgical sterilization should be mandatory.

I like porn when it's at the END of a SERIOUS post. It's refreshing. Porn alone is stupid, because if I just want to get porn alone, I can find it my self.
Any way, the Noble prize is bullshit. +6 should be 'JMG114 prize for literature'

It wouldn't work. Already we give out +2's like firecrackers on Halloween. We'd abuse the +6's just as badly, and deciding whether something is a 0, 1, 2, or 3 would end up being pretty arbitrary.

It's not like this hasn't been proposed before, and the idea has some merit, but it's just too complicated.

It's a real good idea, although the newbies would rate everything as a plus or negative 6, so it would wreck all of everyone's ratings.

Generally speaking, the simpler the system, the more likely people are to want to participate in it.
