Part two.

Awakening well before Jill got out of bed. Jack was more of a morning person. Still, he hated the commute to work. Too many People marching in order always made him feel a bit nervous. At least this trait suited him for his line of work. Though seeking a perfect companionship, he was always somewhat a loner.
The reality of Jacks "Office" was anything but conventional. More reminiscent of a stripped down machine built only for functionality. It only held a work bench and the "product." Working tirelessly all day and early into the night... This was the only thing that really made him feel alive in his dying world. Job security was never an issue.
Hearing the footsteps approach, Jack tried to scream out. Wanting them to know he was still alive. The footsteps trailed off. Once again he was left alone. The rhythmic beeping of the device was his only link to reality. Had he taken her as well? Had the Nameless one struck twice that night? Where was she?
That year the entire city was choked with terror. Some serial killer was on the loose. Because of this Jill never left the house. She had become somewhat of a shut in. Long gone were the days that she used to love going out to eat. That cheesy faux French restaurant was her favorite haunt to frequent. She would always order one glass of Red Wine before her dinner, and then only drink water with her food. Small little idiosyncratic details like those were what drew Jack to her. The night he first met Jill, it was as if his spirit was pushed gently in her direction.
"You know smoking will kill you." She said to Jack, letting only a slightly interested smirk slip. "Kill me?" The shy twig of a man responded "That's ok, I will be born again." The response shot out from his mouth half timidly. Social interaction was not Jacks strong suit. It seemed to go over fairly well though, because that night Jack and Jill took their first walk together along the riverside.
How many years had passed since the day they had met? Had it only been two, or three? Jack never looked back while he was with Jill. His life was always too interesting for reflection. Living in the moment was enough for him. Sadly, their lives together had slipped into a sort of routine. Barely having enough time for their walks, conversations, or to indulge in any of the activities they had once shared. Now he spent his time either asleep, working, or on those rare occasions making love to Jill.
"Yeah this is him. He is kind of a celebrity in here. When we found him he was a bloody damn mess." Jack could hear the loud bellowing voice booming thunderously over his beeping. "Huh hel help me." Jack muttered in a light whisper. "Help me please." His voice was now trembling. "Help you?" The voice spoke mockingly. "Jack Jack Jack, you have no idea who you are. Or why you are here. No one can help you now."

>>Working tirelessly all day and early into the night...
Do you mean 'late into the night'? The statement you made kind of lacks...
