God, I love arriving home after a day of work and posting some garbled shit to vex people. It's so life-affirming, and entertaining as hell! I have another account for when I post non-gibberish material, and that has a pretty decent overall rating. Another thing I enjoy doing is -2ing the hell out of all the hard work the authors invest in their submissions. Man, you should see how pissed people get over little numbers on a computer screen!

What do these numbers represent, anyway? Is the approval of random strangers really that important to you?

One of the things that makes this site unique is the lack of banning. Anyone can come here and post whatever dumbass, retard, shithead, bogus, discombobulated crap they want, and they can
get away with it! This is my favorite part of Ubersite, a nifty feature missing in most forums. I
may not be very popular here at Ubersite. To be realistic, people straightout hate me, but I'm having a helluva time!

Thanks, Ubersite.

I make the point that it doesn't matter, because these are just people
on the internet. They exist so you can screw around with them.

Ok. If this is so unimportant to you, why don't you post something under your "other user name you have that has a pretty good overall rating" telling everyone that you are oicu812. Come on, do it. Ratings don't matter right?

I mean, if they mattered, you would have to go and create a whole other user account so when you wanted to post bullshit, you could, right?

Oh wait, that;s exactly what you did.

Tool.

I'm pretty sure most people don't hate you, they just don't care about you

"Some people are here to actually write something of substance though, and attempt to get a good feedback of their writting ability. The writer can then go through rates and can hopeful gain insight on their ability as seen by others. This gives them the ability to improve their writting ,hopefully."

You don't have to post a well-written story or anecdote to receive positive feedback. People will always give their biased opinions, ignoring the meat of the post. As with any crowd, all you have to do in order to be accepted and gain the approval of the pack is to suck some cock, throw some false compliments, flatter some assholes... i.e. "I like your taste in music.", "Nice picture. You draw well" etc. I've tried it with a seperate account, and it works like a charm.

If you've noticed, most of the 'compliment' posts (http://www.ubersite.com/m/45086 is a fine example) receive very high ratings, despite their lack of anything interesting.

Why do you care if a post is good or bad?

You want people to accept you, and appreciate your writing.

God you are just so damn lame. And the numbers can be a good representation of how good the post is, dumbfuck.

What lack of banning? I just got off my 4th banning.

Homer: But wait. You can't kill me for being Krusty. I'm not him.
I'm Homer Simpson.

Fat Tony:
The same Homer Simpson who crashed his car through the wall of
out club?

Homer: Uh ... actually my name is Barney. Yeah. Barney Gumble.
