As the rhythmic beeping continued Jack thought to himself. "What I told Jill was true. I really would be born again." A sigh crept its way out of Jacks battered lungs. "I just wish she could be here by my side. Jack could hear a cart rumbling past him. "Hey, hello!" Jack spoke loudly. "Hey listen I need some help. Please tell me what is going on." The rumbling came to a stop and Jack could hear someone fumbling with the door to his room. "Oh thank god, hey listen I need to talk to my wife Jill, where is she?" Almost afraid to ask, Jack shuddered at the response he knew was coming. "Jill, she is dead Jack. She won't be coming to visit you. I brought you some food." The man spoke harshly to Jack, cutting away all the decaying hope that he had left. The man walked over to Jacks bed. "Here, let's get those bandages off of your eyes." The man pulled the loosely attached gauze and tape from Jacks head. Though the light may be blinding, for the first time Jack could see.

The gunfire shook Jacks body completely unprepared for the shock. Jack could feel the blood filling his lungs yet he knew he could not die. Jack struggled to his feet. Once there he was greeted by a quick spray of mace, and a nightstick to the back of the head. Lying on the ground completely lifeless Jacks body looked more like a jumble of flesh. He could hear sirens in the background.
The guard handed Jack a piece of paper. "Last thing you will ever eat oh nameless one. You had better make this meal count." Jack gazed glossy eyed across the dirty dimly lit prison cell. "My last meal?" Jack sneered. "I would like a bottle of wine, and some of that cheesy faux French food from the place down town." He shot the guard a look and smiled. "And do tell the waiter my wife and I love their service."
Jack finished up his last meal in his own time. No rush to get where he was going. "I wonder" He said to the guard on duty. "How do you think I shall be remembered?" The prison guard just looked at Jack and laughed. "How about as the sick freak you are." Jack smiled. "Yeah perhaps you are right. The electric chair is surprisingly comfortable. Better than the chair in my shop. Jack thought to himself. Still I would love to have seen Jill one last time. Alive and vibrant as she was that day. Jack remembered the way she looked so full of life, and then all went black...
