After compiling the data from my recent body count list, I've created this graph.
The results are conclusive: Stop the violence and you have a better chance of winning.

death can be fun. it just depends on how it happens. all this suicide and the sappy deaths are boring.
hardcore violence is what we need

It's true, and also pretty funny, because sometimes when an author makes an effort to not be all 'WOE IS ME' and 'PEOPLE DIE!' they get sworn at for what they wrote.
Pretty hypocritical if you ask me.

Totally agree.
Random violence is so passe and just shows a limited writing ability.

Earth collides with a 20 billion population alien planet in my story. Alien and human guts litter the galaxy forever creating beautiful meteor shows on mars once every mars year.

The irony of the whole thing is that you're more obsessed with deaths in stories than the writers who actually put the deaths in their posts. Except maybe for that 6 billion guy.

People are tired of reading about deaths. That's all there is to it.

That's probably true. But I knew there had to be a way of turning all those numbers I generated into some kind of colorful graph.

depends on who does the killing. Shipping and Handling had some deaths but it was a damn good story

So you're saying there's a CHANCE?!
