He walked through the department store, and straight to where I was standing, folding display towels, in my new apron, which was recently made part of my uniform.
How classy... How sexy, what a turn on.
He started looking at the silk throws over the display beds.... Running his hands over the textured silk.
What I wouldn't do to be that throw...
I couldn't help but stare. He took my breath away.
Dressed completely in grey. Sporting grey boxing type sneakers, grey sweatpants, white and grey t-shirt, grey beanie, and a grey sweatshirt, unzipped at the front with the hood pulled over the beanie. Tufts of sandy coloured hair jutted out from under the beanie, framing his gorgeous grey eyes, and a boyish smile.
He turned to me, and smiled. I don't really know how I reacted, but that smile may as well have been the end of me. His whole face just lit up. He pulled the hood back off his head, and we started talking.
He was so lovely, and so sweet, and my heart started beating faster and faster and faster...
He found what he wanted, and went off to make a quick phone call, I stood at the counter, and just stared. He was so beautiful.
When he came back to finish the transaction, I noticed 3 prominent scars running from around his ear and under his jaw, over his left check and another one just under the cheek bone. I wanted to touch his face, run my fingers over the scars, hold him, kiss him...
Actually, I wanted to do more than that.
I don't know how I completed the transaction, and how I still managed to talk coherently, but there, it was all done. He stayed and talked for a few minutes. He was so easy to talk too. He made me laugh; he made me feel at ease....
.... And then he left.
I watched him pull the hood back over his head, give me a smile and walk away, casually implying that he might be back. I kept on watching as he walked away.
My knees were weak, my pulse was racing, and I could hear my heart thudding in my chest. My hands started to shake and it suddenly became really hot.
Work finished a couple of minutes after he left. God, please let me run into him.
No such luck.
I jumped into my car and drove home. Barely noticing the traffic or the road or how I got home. I was still thinking about him. My whole body hadn't recovered from just seeing him.
That's the chemistry I was looking for.
So... I guess this must be that love at first sight thing then, huh?
Just for visual sake... this is probably what I looked like while I was gawking at him...
