It affects both, because it's autism. He can't think of witty insults, arguments, or even ideas. Cheese and getting rich? If I wanted a fucking game that didn't have any violence in it, I'd buy Leisure Suit Larry, or play a Flash game anywhere else. Mental capacities? Clearly he hasn't evolved much in the way of C++, I could've learned that in high school, but I didn't. He is, but clearly he isn't applying it properly. Actually, he has the talent, that isn't the problem...
He's still a child. Suggest to him that he add snippets of porn into his games/animations, he'll refuse because he wants his games to have some form of "prestige", which his games have yet to attain. Suggest a bit more violence, and he'll just give you a splatter of blood. He doesn't think of this type of scenario in his games:
