A smart man once came to me
I've forgotten now his name
and wanted to impart all his wisdom
But I wasn't ready to hear his claims.
"Boy, you've got the world on a string,"
was the way that he began.
"You can do whatever with simply a tug,"
and that was all I could stand.
I turned around and started to run
never looking back even once.
I ran and ran till I fell to the ground
and thought to myself "what a cunt!"
Now it's years past and many things have changed
life has become such work.
And I think sometimes of that odd man,
wishing I hadn't been such a jerk.
