Chris shrieked. Nick apologized and released the clump of brown hair.
"Your hair is too thick," Nick offered, running his hand through Chris' damp mop. "You simply have really, really thick hair."
"Alas, your efforts to topple MopTop have failed!" Chris sneered in his finest Level 13 Dark Sorcerer accent. Nick chuckled nervously under his breath.
The feel of Nick's hand was relaxing and gentle. Chris glanced down, careful to keep his head level. Scraps of wet hair dusted the kitchen linoleum.
"I don't think these scissors are doing the trick." Nick - or at least his midsection - moved into Chris' view, so Chris traced his outline and focused on the sliver of exposed stomach. Nick could cloud the sky and block out the sun and bring beauty and depth to the sunny, stark afternoon. Chris smiled and his pace quickened.
"You're doing fine," he laughed.

You know, just when you think you've found an interesting website in which you can share ideas, stories, and other sorts of creative output, you realize it's populated with people who dub themselves "Supreme_Overlord" and give you a -2, the entire reason being "ATTN GHEY MENZ."

I read this three times trying to figure out what the point was supposed to be.

You know, I was reading this over and thought "focused" to be misspelled, but Merriam-Webster suggested it's correct with 1 or 2 S's. Still looks kinda awkward.
