Godlovesalittlelovin reminded me of how much I love pandas.
Pandas rule so hard. I swear that I can't go one day without envisioning something funny about pandas.
#1 - The panda is the official mascot of the WWF. The WWF for crying out loud?! Can you possibly find a cooler animal than that? Who doesn't like WWF? Man, anyone remember Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage? Man, they were so cool.
#2 - Pandas have an inherent Aaian quality to them. Whenever I see a Panda in some cool pose like sitting Indian style or straddling a branch whilst sleeping, I can't help but think about how if I tried to sneak up on it and attack, it would just totally tai-chi karate chop my ass so bad that I wouldn't know what hit me. Chinese stuff is so cool.
#3 - They eat bamboo. You ever ate bamboo? Didn't think so.
#4 - They're style is soooo New York simple. Black and white...so classy.
#5 - They pretty much sleep and eat all the time. Not only can they totally whip your ass, but they get to sleep and eat bamboo all the time. Every guy should become a panda. That would be so cool.
#6 - They look like big, cute, fuzzy stuffed animals, but they're really vicious, killer bears. That's cool too.
#7 - Did I mention they fucking eat bamboo? Let that sink in real good.
Those are just 7 of the infinite reasons why Pandas rock so hard.

I agree. I'd love to have a penguin and name it "Butler" just because he's already got the suit on. I wouldn't want it to work. I'd just want to have it.

This is something inherently Asian about pandas. They chew their food just like every Asian person I've ever met.

actually now that I think about it I have a quasi-story about pandas.
Washington, DC's zoo has a few pandas and they can't get them to fuck. So everyone's always all worked up about this, and every time there is some zoo oriented event, and even sometimes when it has nothing to do with the zoo, Mayor Williams (crazy bastard)makes the same horrible jokes about the pandas just needing some Barry Manilow and red wine. So anyway the pandas dont' fuck probably bevcause they hate Williams, and to raise money to GET them to fuck, they have these pandas all over (plastic ones) that are painted all different designs. So that's a nice idea but they used to have donkeys and elephants ("Party Animals" har har how clever) and they were WAY cooler.
No more trying to communicate with the outside world...bah anyway the pandas suck, but real panda are ok.

I almost put that info in there too about Ranma. It just didn't flow with what I was saying though. You're right. That anime is all kinds of rule.

I'm reminded of Ranma 1/2. A few of the characters suffer from a curse where hot water turns them into something else, and cold water turns them back. For the main character it causes a gender change, but for his girlfriend's father the 'curse' turns him into a panda. Now most characters are pissed off when they get changed and view it is a curse. Not this dude. Sometimes he just changes into a panda for the hell of it and spends all day sitting outside eating leaves. He rules all over the place!

Bob and I went to that Panda exhibit in San Diego a couple months ago. It was the COOLEST THING EVER.
Well, actually I didn't regard it as much of anything. I was more concerned about the fact that I needed a belt. Oh the joys of losing weight...
