John Kerry is a flip-flopper.
I think Bush has hammered this point home.
He voted for the war, then he voted against it, then he voted for the money then against then god knows how many other flip flops the man made.
Before I continue, I'll just put it out there: I'm not a fan of John Kerry. Then again, I'm an even bigger not-fan of Bush.
But the point I came here to make was about flip-flopping. More specifically, the attacks that Bush makes on Kerry for changing his opinion. Just about the only attack I've heard Bush make has to do with the fact that Kerry flip-flops. We can't have a president that changes his opinion after all.
But why not?
Why is it such a bad thing to change ones opinion?
To be a true leader, you must always at least be CAPABLE of change, provided new information comes to light. What were your political inclinantions when you were 5? 15? 25? Now? The point I am trying to make here is that as you get older, you learn more, your opinions change. But it's not only about age: the more you learn; the more information you process... and your mind should always be dynamic enough to change it's preconceived notions on whatever subject.
If you're too dense to ever change your opinion you're a stubborn idiot. I've sat here for a good 5 minutes trying to think of a good example, but... all I have for you is this crappy one (sorry). If you were to take a CompactDisc back in time your friends would think you had pretty nifty coasters. If they were unable to change their opinions about these coasters once you had showed them that a CD could actually play music (with a CD player of course), then your friends would be idiots.
Bush would have you believe Kerry is not a capable leader because he thinks coasters can play music.
Shitty example I know, but think of the point I'm trying to make here. Flip-flopping isn't a BAD thing. When Kerry voted for the war in Iraq he was under the belief that Iraq had WMD (the fact that the war still would not have been justified notwithstanding). So did Bush. Well, 2 years later, it's quite obvious Iraq has no weapons. So Kerry changed his opinion on the war; Bush did not. [Well, technically Bush did. Bush changed his opinion from "Iraq has WMD and will use them against us" to "Iraq was capable of being of producing them", to "the people are better off without Saddam", to "the area is more stable", to whatever reason he has made up now to justify his little fun.]
I'm getting off topic. The point: Flip-Flopping is not such a bad thing. 'But Ike! He's just flip-flopping for political gain!'. The last time I checked, the point of a democracy is to listen to the people. If the people change their opinion... then all the more power to the candidate who listens to them.

Kerry is a war hero compared to Bush.
Kerry went to war; Bush went to the National Guard
Kerry came back, and spoke out against the atrocities during the war, as any person should. If you were there and horrible things were going on wouldn't you come back here and speak out against them. Have you not see Platoon?
So in conclusion, Kerry is a war hero.

Some points were alright, but the point Bush is trying to make is when you're in command of a military operation you can't flip flop all the time.
And Kerry usually does it in accordance to the polls, not of his own opinions.

Why the hate? This was not badly written?
One-liner posts get more positive feedback than this.

This isn't original. If you'd do a search, you'd find out that there have been hundreds of posts on this issue-- and that's just THIS WEEK.
Stop, just stop. This isn't a political website.

It actually can be considered one.
But this shit isn't politics.
