DNC ELECTION MANUAL: CHARGE VOTER INTIMIDATION, EVEN IF NONE EXISTS

How low will the democrats go? Doesn't this upset all of you who desire free and fair democratic elections?

The image might be hard to read. Here is the text:

"2. If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a "pre-emptive strike" (particularly well-suited to states in which there [DNC's lack of proof reading] techniques have been tried in the part).

Issue a press release
Reviewing Republican tactic[s] used in the past in your area or state.
Quoting the party/minority/civil rights leadership as denouncing tactics that discourage voters from voting.

Prime minority leadership to discuss the issues in the media; provide talking points.

Place stories in which minority leadership expresses concern about the treat of intimidation tactics.

Warn local newspapers not to accept advertising that is not properly disclaimed or that contains false warnings about voting requirements and/or about what will happen at the polls."

How low will the Republicans go? Well I heard Satan is fearing he'll go the way of the Native Americans.

fartman: If those two cases prove to be true, then as a Conservative I condemn them.

IamNotTheWorldTradeCenter: I've got to watch out for those "febble"s. They can give you a serious infection you know. You must repel them with concentrated Hi-C and onions!

ummmm you forgot 3.

3. post ignorant shit on the internet in a febble attempt to convince yourself that you aren't supporting a bunch of pseudo-facsists.

I'm NOT a democrat, but the instances of republicans trying to cheat their way into office are to common to ignore.

My pleasure, Strider. Here are a few examples of GOP "underhandedness". I will provide specific intimidation examples if you wish. And thanks for opening this up for an intelligent, fact based debate instead of just more "-2DIE!" crapola.

Associated Press Release
MILWAUKEE — The mayor has requested more ballots for the Nov. 2 election, but the county executive has refused to provide them, citing concerns about voter fraud.
Mayor Tom Barrett complained that the 679,000 ballots the county agreed to print were less than the number prepared for elections in 2000 and 2002. He asked for almost 260,000 additional ballots, expecting a large turnout next month.
But in a letter, Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker said he had "serious questions" about the need for that many ballots because the city reported having 382,000 registered voters in September. He said "chaos" could occur at understaffed polling places where voters could grab ballots.
City officials said the request for additional ballots was an effort to prevent shortages because some wards have run out in the past. They say some ballots will be "spoiled" by voters' mistakes, and WINSCONSIN'S SAME DAY VOTER REGISTRATION MAKES VOTER TURNOUT UNPREDICTABLE.
Walker is a state co-chairman of President Bush's campaign.

Fox News
Democrats on Wednesday cried foul over a company hired by the Republican National Committee that stands accused of shredding hundreds of voter registration forms filled out by Democrats in Las Vegas.
A report by Las Vegas television station KLAS-TV quoted company employees who said they witnessed the destruction of hundreds of forms from potential Democratic voters. The head of the elections division in Clark County, where the allegations surfaced, said he saw photocopies of three voter registration forms that had been shredded and then taped back together. Of the three, one person was already registered to vote in the county.

Nevada's secretary of state is investigating the allegations.

Fartman, please point us to some evidence then if you're so sure it's a common occurance.

The old playbook. If you fuck up, point to a claim that your enemy fucked up too. Don't address the issue about the claim, just spurt "But, you did....."

Dems are just like the pimps of the us, promise everything deliver nothing except the promise of taking your money for "the better good".

"If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet"

The operative word here is YET. Since voter intimidation is an oft used and typically underhanded Republican tactic, the pre-emptive action is necessary to educate the voters so they will not fall prey to it.

Further, the title contains "crying wolf". Crying wolf is a term most often used to define someone warning about a non existent threat. Since the above mentioned tactic is as I said, oft used and well known, the term crying wolf does not apply.

Richard.

wookie: I think maybe you didn't read it. Dems charge voter intimidation in the past and this manual suggests citing those charges once again. This suggest implying voter intimidation even though there is no evidence to suggest that is happening in this election.

nerf: When is appropriate to use SPT then? From my experience SPT posts mostly contain unoriginal text or links. Or just plain nonsense.

1 for the post.
-2 for the SPT label (especially since you didnt really need it).

Um, while you've written in very large letters "CHARGE VOTER INTIMIDATION, EVEN IF NONE EXISTS", nowhere in the instructions for a preemptive strike does it say to do this.

And if you think the RNC election manual is any different or better, well... familiarize yourself with the word "denial".

Yeah, and the Republican National Committee admitted that it has had ties to the firm, Voters Outreach of America, which has been throwing Democrats' registrations in the trash and keeping those of Republicans.

So quit yer bitching, douchebag.

This should have another +2, because dems are going to see this and not like that their underbellies have been exposed.

Dems, when you read this, try to address THIS issue, and not respond with "Well the Republicans....."

WHAM. And there it is. Democrats, why aren't you telling your committee to stop these shameful acts? Why don't you get on the horn with the AFL-CIO and tell them to stop trashing Republican offices? Memos like this come to light, Republican campaign offices get trashed and their occupants physically abused, but it's the GOP that is a bunch of fascists, right? Where you people get the neck strength to hold your heads up, I don't know.
