Why is it ok to make jokes about Africa where millions are dying, but not about 9/11 where a few thousand people died? (734 hits)

Well, for starters, Africa is a funny place. All those dancing lions and singing baboons. Remember Lion King? I sure do. Without africa, the discovery channel wouldn't be able to make those goofy documenteries about those tribes that still run around naked and don't have internet access. Apparently these people really exsist!! Yeah right. I know they are nothing more than actors. i saw gary coleman dressed up like a woman with badly sagging tits in one "special." Honestly, like there is anyone left on this planet without cable!!
At any rate, we make fun of them because they have been killing each other for thousands of years. They have had the chance to evolve and learn civility. Hell, they are from the cradle of civilization. The are our forefathers and they still run around like savages. The only reason anyone cares now is because we have the ability to actually see what is going on. If someone dies in the congo, it is reported on cnn 10 minutes later. We westerners can't seem to help ourselves when we see their "plight." I saw screw 'em. They have been doing this for thousands of years and nothing me, you , or anyone does, is gonna stop it. So that is why we make fun of them.
9/11 on the other hand was a pre-meditated attack against a civilized nation. Also, because they chose the world trade center, where a good majority of the world was represented, they really attacked every civilized nation on this planet, not just america. The cave-dwelling shit-mongrels attacked the world. That my friend, is not funny.
Thats all I have to say about that.

africa hada ajump start on the rest of the world and they faild to capitalize on it. They could have been the dictators that took other countries wealth and put in despotic governments to rule. They had their chance and they blew it. Now the whole continent (except for south africa because charlize theron is from there) is nothing more than an early morning special on PBS.

Most of the reason Africa has not 'evolved' can be sheeted home to Western powers, that have stripped it of it's resources, and returned little in the way of money to the countries.
And to do this they have often supported despotic dictators, who have been known to be corrupt, and have lined their own pockets at the expense of their people.
