This posting is not supposed to be a piece of literature. I just want to pose a question and see what people think. Has your experience on this site changed your opinions on human nature? After using this site for awhile, do you view the general poulation more favorably or less? Do you think the users of this site represent an accurate cross section of our country, or are they skewed more to a particular type of person?

Has your experience on this site changed your opinions on human nature?
Yes, I think it's provided tremendous insight into the way people act when there is virtually no authority to restrain them. Otherwise "normal" human beings who might generously tip their waitress or wish the mailman a good day will slander others ad nauseum and write about raping stillborn fetuses when they know they don't have to stand behind their words.
After using this site for awhile, do you view the general poulation more favorably or less?
I view the general population of Ubersite as likened unto that of America- most people are just doing their thing, talking about what makes sense to them personally, expressing themselves where they feel they can, etcetera. Then there's a handful of shining stars who continually wow us, and the handful of arses who would probably be imprisoned if Ubersite were a real nation.
Do you think the users of this site represent an accurate cross section of our country, or are they skewed more to a particular type of person?
OUR country? I'll assume you mean America, but keep in mind that Ubersite is a world-wide disease.
That said, there's an obvious bent to the type of person who frequents this site. If one comes here regularly, one must have at least a tolerance of doing some reading, as the submissions with content and all of the ratings force one to do a great deal of it. So I would say that this website omits the rather large section of our country that doesn't like reading (and those who can't read), thereby portraying a populace that is, believe it or not, less ignorant on the whole than the average American populace.
Oh, and -1 for a post with relatively little content or insight. For future reference, you can get these same questions answered with a profound post that BEGS the questions be answered- doing so is difficult, but that's precisely why people who do so regularly have the highest ratings overall.
Say the names with me: ComicBookGuy, Badlands, Smurfs, Espo, JMG114, Snark, SilvrWolf, ScottJames, Jimbo, Sideburns, Ainkara, Nerfherder, Circe, BigMike, DonkeyOnTheEdge, WillZone.
Now go read every post by every one of them and analyze what makes them so awesome. I guarantee that if you put thought and effort into it, you'll be a most excellent author by the time you're done.

Now for my honest answers:
Q: "Has your experience on this site changed your opinions on human nature?"
A: No. I have always thought that humans were stupid. Ubersite confirms that suspicion.
Q: After using this site for awhile, do you view the general poulation more favorably or less?
A: This is the same question as question 1, but rephrased...ummm...the answer is 178km/second.
Q: Do you think the users of this site represent an accurate cross section of our country, or are they skewed more to a particular type of person?
A: No. The users of this site are all geeks, bastards, pedophiles, and rape victims. That leaves out hippies, yuppies, scoobies, and shaggies.
+1 because I made myself smile....all over the bed spread.
