USA has very few freedoms actually, just a lot of people agreeing to the same rules. Freedom of speech is worthless without the freedom to act on your beliefs. Osama Bin Laden knows about freedom... the USA can't touch him. Or talk to an Afghan warlord with 19 wives, 20 poppy plantations, and a small army at his disposal. He is an experet in personal freedom too, believe me. FREEDOM is a relative term, not a blanket status.
America has a vested interest in being at war, that is why they created the Mujahadin/Taliban, AKA Al Queda. That is why they continue to place embargos on Tiny useless Cuba, and kick the shit out of Iraq. All these nations were "friends" that the USA created, then villified. DOn't believe the hype people, the president doesn't matter, the stock market does. For now......
North Korea is the #1 problem facing the USA today, Pakistan #2, Iran #3. All are nuclear powers out of control of teh USA. But if they told you the truth, USA would be in panic mode. And that's bad for the stock market, so it can't happen.
That is why US politics bore me and I think people who constantly root for party based candidtes etc. are completely fucked in the head. They do not care about the big picture, nor do they understand humanity.
We're all people, and one day we will all be friends. Why not make that the primary focus? We're gonna have to forgive Islam for 9/11 one day, even God & Jesus say so.....

Kai can say whatever he wants about the USA. He isn't from it. I respect that. I think in a previous post I said something like "If you aren't from the USA you can be anti-american and say whatever you want to about how shitty the USA is. But....I can still -2 you."
It was to simply mention that when you are American there is a line you can cross where when you begin to hurt your country by spouting your trash. That line is not to be had in Canada.
There are alot of people who don't even realize the USA butts its nose in Canadian politics very often. Look at what is happening with the relaxation of drug laws.... There are individuals in key positions who HATE this. If I was Canadian, I'd want John Kerry elected too. No question about it.
