What you leave behind...
I see you walking towards me across the terminal, and I am captured.
You brush by close enough for me to taste your scent in the air.
A subtle mix of citrus and musk on top of the soap you used to bathe.
And something sharp beneath it all that catches and lingers at the back of my throat.
I am suprised by the person that this scent brings to mind.
Who had on the surface appeared so simple and sweet, now is adjusted to a more complicated
possibility. A hidden preference? A set of rules different from what your friends might expect?
Is there Something exciting that you keep quiet to savor alone? I think that alone would explain you.
I dont look around to watch you walk away.
I dont turn to catch your arm or whisper in your ear.
The reality of a meeting like that is so often difficult.
I choose to keep you as you are; beautiful and plain, hungry and satiated, pure and complicated.
A construct of assumptions bent around the implications of your appearance and painted with your scent.
An imaginary you, but the best I can make.
Eyes closed, I set you before me in my mind and walk up behind you placing my hands on your hips.
Leaning down I smell your hair and you laugh and shy away a little..tickled I think.
I kiss your neck and you press back agains me.
I slide a hand to press your belly and take your earlobe between my lips softly teasing the diamond stud with my tongue.
A tiny breath escapes you.
I imagine a nipple tightening beneath you shirt but I dont reach for it.
Its early yet.
We have only just met.
My plane doesnt leave for an Hour.
