A lot of surprises in the qualifier. Elvis Presley didn't receive a single vote (that's right, not one); Zappa, Thin Lizzy, Kinks, Jethro Tull, and the MC5 (whom I wish I could vote for now, hadn't thought about them) all got trounced, holding ten points or less each; and Beach Boys only got three points. Boston didn't qualify by one point.
Also, Black Sabbath managed to qualify significantly, even though I formally disqualified them early on in the poll. Because of that, I decided to throw them a bone and allow them from here on.
Anyways, I passed on 16 bands. I was going to have 32, but the margins got so low towards the end that most of them tied (Led Zeppelin, the number one band, got 184 points, while Yes, the 16th place band, had 15 points). I was thinking of having the matchups go #1 vs. #2, #3 vs. #4, and so on, but I think The Beatles, who would be matched up against Zeppelin, and would probably lose, deserve better than a first round elimination. So, the matchups will be #1 vs. #9, #2 vs. #10, and so on. Without further ado, the matchups:
Led Zeppelin vs. Black Sabbath
The Beatles vs. Cream
Pink Floyd vs. Queen
Jimi Hendrix Experience vs. The Allman Brothers Band
The Rolling Stones vs. The Grateful Dead
Rush vs. Bob Dylan
The Who vs. The Eagles
The Doors vs. Yes
This poll closes at midnight (eastern time) on thursday morning.

P.S....
A lot of people were complaining about Funkadelic not making it. Let me make this clear... as much as I like them, Funkadelic is not classic rock. If you can classify it, it's funk. Hence, FUNKadelic.
Also, if Hendrix and Zappa aren't classic rock, then what is? Maybe you can say Zappa's not classic rock since he's pretty much everything, but why Hendrix? I always thought they epitomized classic rock.

Out of your selection:
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
Pink Floyd
Hendrix
Rolling Stones
Rush
Eagles
Doors
But if you are going to put these against each other you're going to wind up with led Zeppelin as #1. Is there any other choice? Hell I'm not even a fan and I'd pick them because I know their place in rock history.

Black Sabbath - I will vote against Zeppelin every time, even if I like them more than the band they are against.
The Beatles - I own every Cream album, whether it be studio, live, or other. But they are nowhere near The Beatles.
Pink Floyd - Floyd never wowed me as much as Queen did with BoRhap, but Dark Side, Meddle, and WYWH are infinitely better than any whole album that Queen made.
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Jimi is a GOD. The Stones are the only other band I enjoy as much.
The Rolling Stones - No brainer. The Stones (from 68-74) are flawless and dance-o-rific.
Bob Dylan - I only own a few Dylan albums, but I enjoy them very much. Never liked Rush at all.
The Who - More pound-for-pound talent than any other hard rock band. The Eagles are tremendously overrated, and were mainly successful as a lowest common denominator.
The Doors - I don't like Morrison, but I'll admit the Doors had some fantastic songs. I simply don't care for Yes.
-1 for linkwhoring. Even a little is too much.

Black Sabbath - Very hard choice indeed, but Sabbath is my favorite band of all time
The Beatles - I'm not a huge Cream fan
Pink Floyd - The Wall and DSotM kick Queens ass
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Not a big Allman fan
The Rolling Stones - Just cuz.
Rush - Rush by far
The Eagles - This one was also very hard, but I handed it to The Eagles
The Doors - I saw Yes in concert recently (played with Dream Theater), and I wasn't impressed.

Jimi Hendrix Experience vs. The Allman Brothers Band- Hendrix is badass
The Rolling Stones vs. The Grateful Dead- Oh, so hard to choose...The Dead
Rush vs. Bob Dylan- Dylan all the way
The Who vs. The Eagles- The Eagles for personal reasons. I particularly dislike The Who
The Doors vs. Yes- Doors, Morrison will always be the sexiest man who ever lived. Yes that's why.

Here's my vote:
Led Zeppelin (easily, although against most anyone else, Sabbath'd reign).
Beatles (very close, I love Cream).
Pink Floyd (simple).
Allman Brothers (sorry, I did some careful consideration, and I just love Mountain Jam).
Rolling Stones (no comment).
Rush (I'm not even completely sure why Bob Dylan is on this list, I would've taken Neil Young).
The Who (Eagles are another band that really shouldn't be here, especially when the Guess Who didn't).
Doors (kind of a tough choice).

Led Zeppelin vs. Black Sabbath- Gotta give it to Zeppelin.
The Beatles vs. Cream- Beatles. Two very different styles, but still, Beatles. If you would've put Clapton it might've gotten my vote.
Pink Floyd vs. Queen- Pink Floyd
Jimi Hendrix Experience vs. The Allman Brothers Band- I was born a Ramblin' Man. Allman Brothers. Narrowly.
The Rolling Stones vs. The Grateful Dead- Grateful Dead? They fucking suck. Stones.
Rush vs. Bob Dylan- Rush? Fuck Rush. Bob Dylan.
The Who vs. The Eagles- The Who. This isn't even a contest.
The Doors vs. Yes- The Doors.
