It seems it's now only referred to as Election "Day" out of respect for tradition.
In actuality, we won't know the official winner until 11 days from now, when Ohio gets done counting 250,000 provisional ballots.
Bush is currently leading by approximately 100,000 in that state. Depending on the region these provisional ballots are from, they could really go either way - either a majority Bush or Kerry.
CNN refuses to call the result in Ohio. FOX News reported Bush's victory last year.
One thing is for certain: Ohio is the Florida of 2004.
And I must say, I'm not too thrilled about the residents of either state being able to make decisions for this country.
What a fucked-up system this is.

Ohio is over guys. Bush takes Ohio, NM, NV, and IA. It's WAAAAAY over.

Yeah, let's not bother counting all those silly ballot thingys.
The president doesn't have time to wait for the actual results - we have to take pre-emptive presidential action NOW!

Of course, count them all. But I don't think there will be a change - Bush will take all four of those states.

Well, at least Iowa State got it right. Small moral victory for me.

The Electoral College is shitty enough.
But you're telling me there are people in this country that actually voted for Bush?
What the fuck were they thinking?
...........................................
Agreed. What makes it even more ridiculous is that Bush is winning the popular by something like 4 million.
And what makes it really awesome is that my own state of Iowa is giving more and more votes to Bush as time goes by. Fucking great. So then even if Kerry wins all the remaining states, Iowa will be the one that gives it to him. Thank fucking god I'm outta here come May college graduation.
P.S.: My county, Story, home of Iowa State University, voted for Kerry by 5,000. So don't blame us.
