I came on here prepared to enjoy an exchange of ideas and laugh a little bit. However, when discussing any subject of any weight on this site, one only gets back hostility and insults.
Ubersite's destiny seems to be as a strictly "artistic" site. In that regard, it is quite good. However, serious discussion of issues here is not welcomed. It is not the fault of the people running the site, it is just a number of users.
That being said, there are some decent, intelligent people on here, but they are definitely in the minority.
I will not be reading your responses.

Sure it sucks. It may strike you as odd, or it may not considering you'll never read this response, but there was a time when people could exchange in-depth thoughts and views of life and get plenty of much needed feedback. But that was the summer of '03. Things have only gotten shittier since.

And that's different from life anywhere how? How often, in real life, are you able to sit and converse, in depth, about a topic of your druthers, whenever you feel like it? Tell me you'd have no detractors.
Ubersite is as accurate a cross-section of people in general as I've ever seen in any internet forum.
Ubersite's destiny seems to be whatever the heck people on here make it to be. Don't like what you see? Fight back. Change the world. Or get -2'd and leave.
I highly disagree with the statement that serious discussions are not welcome. I personally have been part of many of them, and started a couple of them. I think you've not given our fair community a right glance.
