Since Anarchy joined Uber and the Freethinkers have been established (im #14 thank you very much) the idea of counter-culture and anti-government sentiment has risen. Okay, maybe it hasn't so sue me (shut up Jewtoast im not being serious). I, as an anarchist, would like to say a few things. And there's not a lot you can do to stop me. So there.
Anarchy is not about violence or throwing Molotov cocktails at federal buildings. It's about true human nature, without invasive governments telling you what to do, wear or say. In the past decade, the punk-anarchist movement has placed a negative sterotype upon this political belief like a swarm of locusts. But it's wrong. If those violent losers want to be their own group, they should make a new name and not soil the good one of Anarchy. Sure, some people might not agree with it but that's okay. Everyone is different, that's what it's all about. But sometimes being agaisnt a Government means fighting, its not ALL pacifism (is that a word?). There is some conflict. At the same time apathetic violence is not the ture spirit of the cause. Pretty much what arrrrrr said. Even if you were to accomplish anarchy, a sytem of government would soon rise. Eventually a mafia-like group will form, and will compete with ther mafia-like groups until one becomes stronger than the rest and takes control. An even better idea would be to have a group of people wih strong ideals about how to make America better overthrow our gvernment and put in place a more prosperous one. Of course, this would surely cause our economy to collapse and chaos to ensue, and who's to say the new government would be any better than our old one?
I think the real answer is to put more power back into the hands of the people, and have the people better educated as to what's going on in the world, so they can make better decisions.

no form of government works, and nor does anarchy, if you believe anarchy is peace and true human nature, your ignorant. because true human nature is violence, it is in basic human nature to kill. furthermore, what good is being a "peaceful anarchist" the days of Mahatma Ghandi style protests are dead, violence is the only language any government understands. what is there a war because some arabs politely said "we dislike america" or because they fucked some shit up? furthermore, it is also a result of human nature, greed, and greed in turn leeds to violence, so i don't know what you are thinking by saying anarchy is not violence, because it has to be.
i agree with you tho, that punks who wear anarchy symbols and shit are fucking drop kicks.
but violence is the only truth.

Yes, yes, Its all fantastic. Until somebody shows up at your door with a gun, demanding you hand over all you own. Then again, you could protect against this by making a pact with neighbours that one will keep watch with his gun. But for one to keep watch, one's going to have to supply that guy with food. And Some other guy's going to have to get water from the local river. And sometimes you'll need more people on call for security if more than one robber shows up with a bigger gun, so somebody's going to have to manage that. Meaning you'll need more people getting food and resources, and people to manage distribution of this stuff and a neutral party to protect against corruption of the people who manage distribution. That sounds familiar, like of some kind of system of ...governing. Point being... give up.

I think many Anarchists end up violent because they're so pissed that no one else is on their mental level.

Anarchy is *supposed* to be the ideal government of humankind; a state of existence in which each man governs himself. Unfortunately, you always have that asshole next door who thinks your grass is greener... that's why governments must exist.
