You're missing the point. This isn't about political parties that didn't exist yet. It's about a consistancy in people. This grapic, the two maps side by side is a mirror, held up to America.

This proves nothing. Most of today's political parties didn't even exist at that time, and Kentucky has voted Democratic in the past.
-2 for more brainless political posting.

Rad, the map is "Pre-Civil War", so yes, nevermind Nevada. I avoided any of my own commentary about this. Just putting two maps with a 150 year gap side by side. Remember, this election apparently wasn't won over Iraq or the economy, but "values." I wonder what values those are exactly.

And never mind that Nevada actually joined the union during the Civil War, making it a free state. And the "slave allowing territories" were just that, territories largely uninhabited by anybody but Native Americans and Mormons (who argueable hold their women as slaves, but thats a different post). Try to think things out before you post something on your mommy's fridge again.

Don't forget to tell everybody that the GOP (Republicans)is the party of Lincoln, and that the Southern States were solidly Democratic at the time. So what does that mean? The same as this post. Absolutley nothing.
