Okay, this is my first post, but all it's going to be is me ranting, so here goes.
First, I lost my cell phone on the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) this past Sunday morning. So I call up verizon and have my number blocked. Then, just for shits and giggles because I know this will never happen, I call up the train station and the lost and found at Penn Station to see if anyone turned it in. All the lost and found is is a fucking answering machine probably in a closet somewhere that no one ever checks. I left my information anyway. So today I decide to go down to the verizon store and get a new phone. I see one I like (the same as my old one!) and I see it says $80. Okay, thats not bad.
"Your total is $260"
"What did you just say?"
"$260"
What the fuck happened to it being $80?" And yes I did say those exact words. I could tell they didn't like that.
"It's only $80 if you are signing up for a new plan."
"Well thats a bunch of horse shit. Isn't there anything you can do or give me for free?"
"A kick up your ass as you leave. $260 please."
So I give them my credit card and they give me my what should be gold plated, diamond keyed phone.
This is the second biggest scam in america, next to nuns driving in the left lane going as slow as they want, because no one is going to beep their horn or flip them off due to the risk of going straight to hell.
