In the last round, a dead heat for both matches:
-Jimi Hendrix Experience beats Led Zeppelin (21-19). Goddamn all of you to hell.
-The Doors beat the Beatles (20-19). What the fuck?
If you're wondering why there's an extra vote in the Zeppelin/JHE ballot, one guy just voted for Zeppelin and no one else.
Okay, now this is an obviously flawed final, but I'm putting it up anyways. The final matchup for greatest classic rock band ever is...

The Doors are definitely one of my personal favorites, and they were very ahead of their time, while simultaneously indicitive of their time, but to not have this as a competition between The Beatles and Led Zeppelin is pretty crazy!
My vote still goes to The Beatles hands down! I could rattle on for ages on why they should beat out Zeppelin in a head to head, but I don't care enough to. For those of you who don't agree with me, look up their respective catalogues sometime, and just compare! I DARE YOU! Noone can argue against The Beatles being one of the single biggest influences on the music of humanity of ALL TIME, not just the Rock era. If you were to lay out a time line of the great advances in music history, it could not be complete without The Beatles and their innovations in song-writing and multi-track recording! (Their music was done on 4-track, people...come ON!) Listen to the stereo versions of their later albums with headphones! If you know the first thing about music and the art of recording, especially to analog, you will not argue with this...
