As I listen to the sound of my feet pounding pavement and my regular breathing
( in 1-2-3, out 1-2-3),I take my mind off the searing pain in my shins by focusing on my surroundings.
The trees are a work of art. The last leaves hanging on range in color anywhere from orange to yellow to deep red. The bare branches point up to the sky, threatening winter to bring on the fury.
The air is chilly, but nice. A relief from the oppression of summer. I can smell the salt water from the bay, it beckons me wade in. The crispness of the air fills my lungs and cleanses.
I love Fall

I hate fall. Probably because I live in California and we don't really have a fall. Well at least I don't think we do. We only have two seasons. Fucking hot and fucking hotter. Even if we did have a fall we have no real trees to change colors so it wouldn't matter.

Actually the pacific northwest, but it really looks very similiar to the northeast.
