I was in the navy, but I'd like to point out that this site is neither a military chat room nor military.com.
If you don't have anything to write that will entertain people or make them laugh, then get the hell out. Go make a list of soldiers who visit your local 7/11.

I agree completely with hidden, it is a job. If you take pride in your job good for you, but don't be so blind to think that everything you and your company does is morally justified because you are told it is. Should I go and start a Everyone who is a veteran of the fast food industries list your name, company, and specific job?

And in Africa there were guys walking behind those asking for water shooting those whom we gave water or food too. Those are the fucks I was after.

Think of us what you will, but the Marine Corps Infantry is where it's at. Grunts are the backbone of the military, and if you can't love what you do, than you should not be doing it.
Hidden, this was supposed to be aboult celebrating the common bond felt by all soldiers, Marines, sailors, airmen, any military person from round the world, and I have been round the world more than once, and fought with a amazing peoples from all cultures and I have been fortunate enough to know that God lead me everywhere I went, and I thank him for that. I am sorry if my existance offends you, but you have to have me. So take a long walk off a short cliff and let me back to do my job, and as for being around poeple like me all the time, I am putting college back on hold to go back into the fray, I have already been accepted to the masters in theology program at the top Jesuit school in the Mid West. So I surely can't be that dumb. I just love what God put me here for.

can't... stop... laughing...
why, thank you for this post, good sir. 'tweren't for people like you to give me my daily reminder, i wouldn't be so happy to be me.
yes, i'm sure God led you wherever you have been. afterall, he was just kidding about all that "thou shalt not kill" and "peace" bullcrap. he loves soldiers the most because they kill the bad guys (and by bad guys, i mean the ones that America deems "wrong", because we all know only America is right all the time). God bless America!
stop being so narrow-minded. i was in the military, but i don't call myself a veteran. i call myself "a dude that was in the military one time". it was just a job. it payed the bills. i got out before i had to go to Iraq and i thank God every day for that. not because i'm a pussy (been shot at more than once and kept my cool just fine. i'm tough as nails. not to mention i'm a fuckin' sharpshooter if you give me a rifle). it's also not because i'm "a liberal asshole". well, maybe a little bit of that. i just see things a little differently than most people in the military. i wouldn't say i'm right or wrong, but either way, you can't blame me for that now, can you?
anyway, everybody needs to be a part of something, i guess. so feel good and proud. you probably did a lot of good things in the military and will continue to do so. the only problem is, you'll also have to do some bad things. hopefully you won't be proud of those, but sadly, most soldiers with a narrow mind are... it just makes me sick to see an American soldier come home and have a beer bought for him for his kills in Iraq while somewhere in Iraq, the families are mourning the loss of not only their provider, but even more importantly, their loved one. and all he did was walk up to a humvee to ask for some clean water for his family....

you're not a real man unless you have abnormal testosterone levels, Sass. so follow his advice and then go kill some ragheads and come home and drink with the boys and talk about how awesome it was that you killed all the bad guys.

Was down with 2/4 in Ramadi, got caught in a gunfight while going to an outpost to give some training. Not. Good.
