I get the humour. I like the post.
But here's something that angers me:
while yeah, for some reason we get a rap for being tree-huggers (which I honestly couldn't care less about), I'm pretty sure we have a lower percentage of our total land area covered by national parks than the U.S., who now have a President who supports drilling for oil in a Wildlife Reserve.

Don't be to sure about that. I live in a national park in Canada and it's enoromous( I think the biggest in canada). It's bigger than some countries even. Also in most directions it's only a couple of hours or less to drive to another park almost as big, and thats only my province.

A good portion of the Bald Eagle's diet is made up of carrion. Since they often nest along roadways, this need is often satisfied with roadkill. If they find something as large as a deer, they often glut themselves... eating their own weight in several hours. These binges often result in the eagle growing too fat to fly. When this occurs, the eagle must either:
1. Get hit.
2. Hop into the bushes and wait to regurgitate/excrete enough to fly again.
What a great symbol for our wonderful, gluttonous, fat-ass country.

I guess it has no relevance to anyone else on the site, but the new MTS Centre just opened here in Winnipeg, effectively ending fifty years of history with the Winnipeg Arena. But the Jets have been gone for almost ten years, and that leads me to bitch about the Moose- what the fuck? You take away a fucking NHL franchise and replace it with AHL and say it's just as good? And a new, smaller arena in the middle of fucking downtown that can seat fewer people? Jesus Christ, who makes these decisions?
