We have a 1 dollar coin. I rather enjoy our currency compared to that of other countries, including the euro which I find disappointing in that the national identity of so much of Europe is lost. The most remarkable thing about Europe including eastern europe and Russia is that most people in the cities speak English. No wonder there are so many people who hate us, we so dominate the geopolitical landscape they all had to learn our language.

Lots of countries currency has issues... Take Korea for instance. Their largest denomination of cash is 10,000 won which is roughly 8 1/2 US dollars.
In the USA you can have 1 $100 bill. In korea, you'd need to carry 11 bills at least for that kind of cash. So if you buy something for $1000 bucks in cash in Korea you'd need around 110 bills!!! That's fucking nuts!
