I enjoy following the news, but every time I watch "ABC World News Tonight," I am outraged. Peter Jennings makes no effort to mask his contempt for America. For example, tonight, when talking about Falluja, he only talked about the U.S. casualties, with big, bold graphics, giving an obviously begrudging acknowledgement that the U.S. and Iraqis essentially controlled the city. Then, he elevated the small attacks that the escaped terrorists from Falluja were attempting across the country as "rebellion spreading."
It is time to start a boycott of ABC until this Canadian is booted back to the C.B.C., where he will fit in with his anti-American propaganda (and it is propaganda--it is definitely not journalism).

I, for one, have always enjoyed the honey-tongued musings of Peter Jennings. Although I must say that my heart truly belongs to the boyish and debonair Brian Williams of NBC.

I've not posted here for a year or so maybe... but you're post is typical of someone who doesnt even want to hear 2 sides to every story....
You probably still believe that the US went to war with Iraq to "liberate" it.... as opposed to steal all the oil :)

Jennings is a tool.
I'm for revamping the whole television news thing in America, but hey...I don't have a zillion dollars unfortunately.
(The BBC is NOT unbiased either, folks. They are just news from another perspective and that is important to view as an American if you want to know what others think of us because that is where they get THEIR news and they will not shade the article to make USA look favorable.) But, hey... I check much of my news from the Hindustan Times, Chosun Ilbo (South Korean), and even like to check out what the Iranians and North Koreans have to say. Sometimes the Iranians are not too bad, but the North Koreans never have anything good to say.
God damn, I miss the South Korean news on their TV. They show all kinds of shit that makes you say "oh, shit. That's fucking horrible." Because they don't hold back some of the shit that they do in America. For instance, if there was a house fire and someone died...they'd show the family being informed of that and they'd be balling, passing out and shit. They don't show that in America, but I wish they would. That would make people realize that shit is real, not just like a television show. Someone is affected by these fires/car accidents/etc. In the USA they say "two people died." and move on. There, it really hits you.
