Recently, sexism has been a "hot" topic. From lawsuits against Arnold Schwarzenegger, to women making lower wages, it seems anything to do with the negativity towards females will be shunned regardless of whether it is indeed towards the female gender or rather just against persons who happen to be female. However, with the feminist groups still running strong despite the freedom of women, and the constitutional recognition as equal persons, they feel the need to gain further on men. Now, everyone has accepted that to go by the stereotypes of women and to laugh at the expense of those stereotypes is wrong. However, it seems that the reverse is not only accepted but encouraged. It is the belief of the male public that the feminist movement is carrying on to inequality by accepting reverse-sexism as a rite of passage to eventual balance on the gender scale.
Though admittedly the feminist movement carries some weight, because of momentum from the liberation of women in the fifties to the eighties, now should be their time to stop. Equality has been achieved, yet they expect a man to hold a door for a woman. Does every man expect every woman to hold a door for him? Continuation of such a movement will lead to inequality as a result of fear of being labeled "sexist". Recently I heard of a commercial through a website that purposely makes women seem sophisticated, and makes men out to be bumbling buffoons. If one were to follow the opposing stereotype, and make a commercial featuring a man as a hard worker, and a woman as a ditzy cook, we would be rightfully labeled sexist. However, the aforementioned true commercial has stirred up nothing.
Furthermore, women have throughout the ages been viewed as objects of beauty. Men have always had an image of a hairy oaf, but that is only to the women's benefit. A hunter and provider has been the traditional job of the male, and that job has been appreciated by the female. Until the family grows, at which point it is viewed as an inferior duty, far surpassed by looking after children. Stay at home dads are a rising fad, and not only women appreciate the right to work, however, often men are criticized by their significant other that they do not provide for their family. Is it not a balance of sorts for one of the members of a relationship to be the breadwinner and the other to take care of the home? Truly, it is the right to choose which one the woman will be that the feminists fought for and is now instilled. With all of the feminist values in our government, is their existence truly necessary?
This is not to say that there are no males that appreciate the feminist movement, quite on the contrary. However, in our workforce often the males are nervous around females and feel "On their toes" so as to tiptoe around the controversial issue of sexual harassment. A tense workplace leads to non-productive work, and in this a world where political correctness run amok causes a job to be a social balancing act rather than a necessary evil of life. The word work means doing a duty; doing it in a place that hinders that is not effective. The only way to stop this would be to put in effect a system where it s controlled, for example a system wherein people are not to date others of the same company so as to avoid either messy breakups or other such scandalous affairs.
Also, it is noted both by males and females that there is tendency to hire a female over a male in certain careers. For example, singing. Sarah McLachlan, a feminist singer said "Well, there's almost a reverse sexism going on in radio." Even a feminist will agree to ideals that go against her legion, because of how obviously correct they are. Equality works like two people playing tug of war. When the male side is too afraid to pull the rope, they will wind up in the mud. We must stop stepping so lightly and put our feet down, as this has come too far. Equality is defined as equal rights and benefits. Does this mean a sofa in the women's restroom, and unclean toilets seats in the men's? This was viewed in Grand Valley Public School, in Grand Valley, Ontario. Also, it is a proven fact that teachers will give 5 male detentions for every female one. Seems pretty unequal, doesn't it?
If the feminist movement does not stop now, we will be lead on a downward spiral to fear of being not politically correct enough to swim where only the normal sink. The quicksand of lawsuits rise up on those of us bold enough to freely state our opinion, be it pro-male. The blade should fall on a head stuck through either side of the guillotine. They say nationalism of any kind is incorrect as many times it leads to war. However, maybe in this chaotic world a confrontation is the only way to reach resolution, both militarily and socially, in this situation.

After careful consideration I came to the following conclusion. You have to be a man to say America is a Patriarchy. Why do you have to be a man? Because we live in a society that allows for ALMOST perfect equality, and anyone who hears "we live in a patriarchy" has the freedom and right to call the speaker a bigot or sexist. When a person says, "we live in a patriarchy" they open the door to be critisized by at least fifty percent of the population. And be sure it would happen. People that hate openly (as gender and racial observations are ofter percieved) are the only people it is okay to openly hate. That is why you have to be a man to admit we live in a Patriarchy.

Interesting and thought-provoking. Next time just break up your text a little (paragraphs, double spaces). It's easier to read.

To get women into the military the just lowered the physical standards for them. That's retarded. Did you know that firefighters aren't trained to tested to carry people out over their shoulders from a burning building because the average woman can't do this with larger people. Now their trained to drag people out by their ankles.

Putting a rule like this in place is ridiculus and unnecsissary. Besides do you really want companys to be able to legally enforce that? Instead of banning 'relationships' however you would do that why wouldn't you just try to change the minds of the population to ACTUAL equality and it wouldn't be a problem.
The only problem with sexual harrassment in the workplace is that you can't prove anything. A woman accuses a man of sexual harrassment and he has no defense other than saying it didn't happen. When a judge is in doubt he usually doesn't say there isn't enough evidence he just rules in favor of whoever is most beleivable. This is almost always the woman. And even when it isn't, the man accused could have lost his job, his family, or his friends. Or all three. Do what do you think if a guy told someone some girl harrassed him. It's suffice to say the situation is different.

It's not typos. It's grammar and spelling mistakes like "arguement" in the title and the entire following sentence:
I did paragraph. [Paragraph is a verb now?] Except not double spaced. And there was [were] like, 0 typos so I dont [don't] know what your [you're] talking about with the sock-hands.
I didn't bother wading through it after reading the reviews. It sounds like arguments I've heard plenty of times, that would have been original in 1984 but don't even apply to most feminists anymore.

I've got to say... I agree. Equality has been acheived as far as it will ever be acheived. Face it ladies. There are certain things that men can do that we can't do. And boys, same goes for you. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, and maybe this will make a bunch of people hate me. But the sexes WEREN'T created equal. It's yin and yang, people. Can't have one without the other, and life can't go on if the sexes are homogenous. There's no shame in saying it.

Yeah, women can't reverse park cars or manage a high turnover Fortune500 company, and men can't iron, cook, and clean all at once. It's just natural that these rolls should be undertaken by those best suited to them.
Hehe!

Interesting points, reformat!!!
Feminism to me is not about women taking over the world. It's simply about equality of opportunity and recognition of such.
I open doors, I give up seats on public transport, I take men out for a meal. I don't expect to be paid more than any male counterparts, but I do expect what I do to be treated for what it is. If I don't work as hard, or as effectively as a colleague of *either* gender, I don't deserve to be paid as much. If I do my job efficiently and to the best of my abilities, that I what I deserve to be paid for.
Women in engineering and physical sciences is a big issue here. I was the only girl in a class of 30 at university reading physics, but I was rarely treated as a second-class student. That perhaps has something to do with the fact that I consistantly maintained grades in the top 2% of the group despite being, shock horror, female. Because I had the opportunity, I was able to do that.
Feminism is about giving women the chance to fulfill their potential, in whatever they wish to do. If they are unable to do it as well as a man, so be it. If they can do it better, all well and good.

You do need a double space, I found myself trying not to skip some of it because I couldn't be bothered to read such large chunks.
Your argument has some valid points. I don't know about the ending, it made me think about writing a fiction piece on how men and women turn against each other and war breaks out, but then I realised I couldn't be bothered.
+1 for the effort. Keep it up.

initial response - WFT I'm not reading all that!
But then I read it, and I approve. It's a shame because you're just going to get slammed for not double spacing by the anally retentive(May I just point out for the record that I am female)It's the same as racism; can't have a Christmas tree but a Menorah is ok, only whites can be racist, blah blah blah. I'm looking into cryogenics, stick myself in a freezer with a note asking to be woken up when the world sorts itself out.

seriously, though, I could barely wade through this. Leave a blank space between paragraphs, and repost it. You'll get bitched at anyhow, because your whole "argument" is weak, but at least that will cut down on the editing remarks.
