It seems that, although the media repeatedly tells us everythig is O.K., there have been a lot fo errors at the polling stations this Nov.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the government is really trustworhy. I just don't think it operates with the what's best for the people in mind.
Maybe the vote counts aren't correct, maybe they are, but I think we seriously need to rethink our voting system. Here's a comprehensive layout of all the errors in the polls that were reported by the media. http://www.votersunite.org/electionproblems.asp?offset=0&catid=&showall=&sort=
There is also http://www.blackboxvoting.org/ which is using the freedom of information act to request poll records from the election. Apparently, some of the polling stations have been a bit less than willing to cooperate. The records that they have gotten have disagreed with what was reported. interesting.
Maybe John Kerry actually won the election, or maybe Bush really is the winner. But that's besides the point. I don't want a recount, I want to be able to know that my vote was counted the first time. I don't want there to be discrepency in elections. If 51% of the country likes Bush better than Kerry, great, let Bush lead. I just want to know for certain that Bush is my president because more people wanted him in office. Basically, I want democracy I can trust.

If you think that this post was about Bush and Kerry, you're wrong. This was about our voting system in general, and my lack of trust in it.

It's this type of mentality that will ensure that republicans win every presidential election for the foreseeable future. Keep thinking that it's inaccurate polling results and not the out of touch socialist candidates that are nominated.
