Things that pissed me off today 25/11/04
To many things. Today's first world techo crazy society if forcing me to carry to much shit. I need help. I have to carry around the usual wallet, keys, smokes, lighter, cell phone and security pass. All of which are essential. (yes that includes the cigarettes) The combination of which makes me look like one of those Nazi German stormtrooper wankers. With a massive puff of pant leg around my upper leg and normal skinny leg in the calf area. It I have been looking around and I see other men while perhaps not as self conscious as myself they have the same problem.
There are options. The man bag for example. Not a good option but an option none the less. The man bag while it solves the stormtrooper problem it creates the other problem of a serious lack of masculinity. And in today's society I often think that men need all the masculinity that they can get. So as far as I am concerned it is not an option for me.
There are cargo pants, but nothing says take me seriously in this all-important business meeting than bulging cargo pants.
I does however seem that with the increasing number of countries moving to ban smoking and therefore the number of countries that I will not visit (i.e. Bhutan the first to all out ban the things, not that I really advise smokers going to such an oxygen poor altitude). Any way as I was saying, the bans could well free up some valuable pocket space. Then I will not have to resort to cutting out cell phone/cigarettes box sized chunks out of my thighs in order to keep a decent pant line.
So to sum up:
The things that have pissed me off today are
- Stormtrooper pants.
- Cargo pants - of no good reason, I just don't like 'em.
- Bhutan
- Man bags - they are queer and always will be.
