Drugs kill.
Yeah. Of course they do. That's why people keep taking them. There is no positive aspect to it, there are just many more suicidal people in the world than first suspected, all of them trying to waste themselves slowly through habitual drug use.
Anyone who has taken a long shower while stoned will tell you that they feel like killing themselves afterwards, as opposed to, say, lying down in a warm bed and masturbating.
Drugs don't kill. Depression kills. Habitual use of hard drugs is obviously harmful, but the reason for a persons self destructive pattern is not based in the drug itself, but the persons environment and psyche. If their life suddenly improved, they would probably become happier with the more normal levels of escapism. Like movies, or watching a really nice ass on someone in a pub.
And why do people all assume that the really 'bad' drugs are the illegal hard ones? What the fuck? Have you ever SEEN an alcoholic on a binge? Give me the totally ambivalent and static freebaser any day over that shit, and vomit, and piss, and constant stream of self pitying horseshit.
People use drugs because life is shit. It used to be that people used them to expand their consciousness into a perceived state of high spirituality to enlighten themselves and hopefully reach some small element of the truth of life, and spread it to their people. Now people just hate themselves.
When I dropped acid for the first time, I felt something akin to that, I felt my mind wandering away into ideas and facets of life I had never even suspected were there. When I first did mushrooms it was better, I felt the power and attunement of the earth itself inside me, and thought that if only I knew the words, I could release myself completely from reality and fly away.
That was a long time ago. I was young, idealistic, unrealistically ambitious and incredibly naïve. It was fantastic.
Screw this. Yet another piece of writing designed solely around my own sense of self justification. I'm going to get stoned and take a shower. If you ever manage to get that great feeling back from when you were a kid and got wasted let me know. Because right now, I really need a hit of that.

drugs are cool... untill you end up in a 8 by ten cell with some weirdos for the weekend while you wait for your court date. o yea drugs are cool.
ps: i love the police, they are my friends.
