Mystiamoon, the only reason I got into this debate in the first place was because I chewed Stabkills ear off about posting something crass and tasteless about Tom. I cannot justify causing shit about that and not doing the same when he does it to Fetish - THAT would be hypocritical.
I haven't actually been on Uber all that long; I'm a comparative new girl. I have spent my 6 months here trying to keep out of the politics of the site and just post and review. I haven't been here for long enough to know all of the history between all of the feuders. I'm sorry for missing your personal battle with Brendan and not responding accordingly. As I said, it's easier to ignore most of the politics than to get involved, but what Stabkill posted about Tom's dad I clicked on by accident and was so low that I wanted to comment. Unfortunately, Stabkill and I don't seem to agree.
He, however, is the one who has descended to personal insults. To telling me that I live a sad and pathetic life. I have tried to reason, rather than insult, because that is my way. I could have dropped a "-2 No Comment" and been done with it, but I'm an idealist and like to think that people are generally nice.
I know I'm wrong, by the way. People are not nice.
I do not defend any single mean post. Supporting a post and supporting its poster are different things. I don't -2 every single Stabkill post I come across, just as I don't +2 everything Brendan writes. I very rarely rate a Fetish post at all. I don't condone ANYBODY making malicious posts.
My first comment was because the only time you seem to comment on ANYTHING I've written, be it a post or a review, is when you don't like it. I support Brendan because I've been through a whole lot of shit in my life and I know how hard it is to get through without people who care - even in some small way. Call it moral support in the form of positive ratings, if you will. You will notice that there are a lot of Brendans posts I haven't rated or have rated lukewarmly. That's because the subject matter didn't agree with me or the post had no merit to me.
I know that you have had issues with Brendan in the past, and I'm sorry about that, but I didn't do it, Mystiamoon. Your issue with him is not an issue with me. I don't take sides here. If Fetish had posted about Stabkill what Stabkill has posted about Tom, I would have reacted the same way.
If by "guys like Brendan" you mean people who have posted something raw and painful that may not have been as well written as it might have been, then yes. Yes, I do. Because people have supported me when I needed them to and have posted material below an "acceptable" level, and because it takes courage, and because there is often potential there which can be nurtured. I don't support wife-beaters, rapists, crap posting for the sake of crap posting and bitching about other uberers.
