As I'm sure you know I've been doing a mini murder series thing. It was a mild success and the people who took part enjoyed it a lot so after this initial trial run I've decided to start up the main game. The idea of the game is simple. Murders are commited, we work together to find out who the murderer is etc.
Here is how it will work. I am coroner. I issue coroners reports, time of death, cause of death etc. Then I will be looking for the following roles to be filled.
Executioner.
This role is a simple one. The person chosen as executioner will be responsible for choosing the method of execution. Once a suspect has been found guilty (by majority vote) it is up to the executioner to decide in which strange and fantastic way the condemned shall be put to his end.
Chief of police
This role will be slightly more complex and require more effort on your part. Your job will be to issue police reports giving all of the evidence that is supplied. It is your job to command your detectives, tell them who you want them to question etc.
Detectives
The detectives will most of the leg work in the game. They will collect evidence, question suspects and witnesses and report to the chief of police with everything they find out. There will be two detective roles going.
Murderer
You know what to do! I will choose the murderer from all of the people signed up. They will email me with their latest victim, where they killed their victim and how they did the nasty deed. The murderer can be anyone! The only person the murderer cannot be is myself.
Murderers accomplice
Your job will be to steer people in the wrong direction. Use any means possible to deceive people into believing that the person you are protecting is not the murderer.
General towns folk
For people who didn't get a main role. Your role is the most important. You must vote on who you think the murderer is with the evidence given over the current week. One vote each and only your first vote counts.

The first murder will be announced once the list of characters is up. Upon the announcement of the first murder it will be up to the chief of police and his detectives to work on evidence and suspects. Through out the week reports will be issued from which you the townsfolk will make your decision. At the end of the week the main suspects will go up against the public vote. The voting will start from the time the main suspects are given to twenty four hours later. After this, votes don't count.
Once all votes are counted the suspect with most votes will be put to his death.
In the case of a tie of votes, I will give someone at random the final vote.
The sign up sheet will be up for a week. After this I'll choose people roles based on what roles would fit the people best and then we will begin!

i havent read all the comments or whatt he hell this is all about, but i'd like to be the executioner.
a sample idea:
the convicted has their limbs all tied down. to the back of his/her head is a gun. attached to the trigger is a string, which is then tied to the convicted's flaccid member. An assortment of the hottest women proceed to attempt to bring life into his murderous cawk, effectively ending his life.

I've been a fan since the devil's hole punch. Nice to see you're getting some attention. I really enjoyed the murder series, and I think it will do very well in a broader scope.
Unfortunately, my new work and homelife schedule has picked up quite a bit so I don't have as much time as I'd like to devote to this experiment. Otherwise, I'd volunteer for chief or murderer or something.
But I'll be standing at the gates with a torch and pitchfork along with the rest of the general townsfolk.

Wow. Just remember, anyone who doesn't get a main role (because let's face it there are only like 7 main roles) can still take part, vote and give their ideas and opinions on the replies. So don't ignore the game if you don't get a main part. So far I have my Cheif of police, executioner, accomplice and ideas for my detectives. But I'm going to put another one in. Much like JMG114's analysis of UberMadness it'll be called Murderer analysis and will be done by whoever I choose as Criminal Psychologist.

This series rocked the first time round, I was little gutted I missed it.
I should SOOO be the executioner.
The first condemed would be locked into a padded room, force-fed a pack of drawing pins and made to watch Electro's complete 'Bart VS ...' series on repeat until they lost will to live and shat them out, dying of the subsequent blood-loss.
