The space between the raidrops
is just large enough.
The time it takes a leaf to fall
seems just right.
The curves of a childs ear,
the sound of stone on steel,
the taste of oranges,
the feel of warm mud beneath my feet,
these things all feel true.
But something about me puts it all wrong
and even in the presence of beauty,
and perfection,
and truth,
I feel so...
I feel so...
blank.

Ehh, I don't know. What's really said here, man? I mean, really, what have you said? Do you know?
Also, the title is too Dave Matthews.

haikus are so gay
'cause they put limitations
on words that are used
haikus are real dumb
they are just shitty poems
invented by japs

How about a haiku?
Sleep always feels best
When it is not permitted,
Secretly stolen.

I am always prepared for criticism.
What I love about this site is the chance to
think of something
compose it
post it
and have some total stranger
read me.
all within 5 minutes
It has to be one of the best things that the net has made possible.

Flows well, but free-verse pseudo-depressed poetry is too common in modern poetry to get a +1 or +2 I think.
