Okay, so I sing in bands or work on music projects in my spare time. Currently I'm working on some house tracks with one of my friends in Baltimore, but as I'm in Boston I need to get him some rough copies of stuff so we can figure things out and maybe then I'll go into a studio, or go to Baltimore. So, I was going to hook a minidisc recorder into the record output of my mixer, run my mike through the mixer and have a nice simple day just recording some melodies for him.
So my boyfriend lets me have his minidisc recorder and tells me I can just record over whatever he has on the MD already there. I log online, download the manual, read through some of the instructions to erase stuff and then record from my kind of setup. Seems simple enough, I bring the instructions over, have everything set up and try to erase some of the stuff. I followed the instructions for maybe three or four different ways to either delete the entire disc, or just erase tracks, and as I would go through the instructions after a few minutes it would just say "SORRY". Sorry for what? It's a fucking minidisc recorder! It doesn't have feelings! I'm still trying to figure out what it was apologizing for....
Then I tried to just add tracks on because the disc wasn't full, but again, my minidisc recorder is "SORRY". Fuck Sony. Thinking that a minidisc recorder has feelings. Maybe in their 208-page manual I'll find the full fledged apology: "We're sorry that we made this shitty ass minidisc recorder that really isn't very functional or easy to use, and furthermore, we're sorry that we can't even write proper instructions for how the fuck to operate it" christ.

I thought I would delve back into the history of uber to see all the quality posts there were in the old days before all us peasants arrived and made it rubbish.
