I really don't know what to say. Dimebag Darrell was one of the greatest metal guitarist's ever. Pantera was one of the greatest metal bands ever. And now I'll never get to see either of them because some fuckhead with a gun decided it was time to go for Mr. Abbot. I wish the police or whoever wouldn't have shot him down. I wish that scumbag would have lived, gone to prison, and been assraped by all the Pantera fans.
This brings to mind another point. I was reading something about the "Partnership for a Drug Free America" and got really pissed off. Why is there no Partnership for a Peaceful America? Partnership for an Educated America? Partnership for an America where there aren't millions of people living on the streets?
Because peace and education are dangerous. With peace and education comes love and understanding, and no one wants that. Well, no one in power anyway, because that would mean the end for them. People would realize that we don't need fancy cars and wars and all the hate. They would realize that this whole country has turned in to one assfuck after another for the American people. Time and time again we're told we need to buy this, watch this, eat this or we won't be happy. Keep them sober, keep them fighting, and keep them coming back for more.
I'm not saying all drugs are good. They're not. Crack is a horrible, horrible drug, and it's just another tool used to keep people down. Cocaine, while I'm sure it's fun as hell, is not productive in any manner. I'm talking about nature's drugs. Marijuana. Why have we banned a plant? Why have we banned nature? Doesn't that seem...unnatural to anyone else? Mushrooms are illegal? What? They grow on cow shit for God's sakes! I've never heard of one person dying from marijuana or mushrooms. Sure, people do stupid shit while they're high, but that's because they're stupid people. Some asshole dies because he tried to fly while on acid by jumping out of a 5th story window? Good, that's one less moron.
Those drugs are illegal for a reason. Not because they hurt people or tear families apart. Quite the contrary. They bring people together. They help us to see that it's all major bullshit. And once we realize that, the good people that run this country are all out of jobs. Marijuana doesn't make you lazy. As Bill Hicks said "It just makes you realize it's not worth the effort." That's why they make laws banning nature and love and information. Keep them fighting, keep them hating, keep them down.

Yeah, I didn't really mean that everyone has to do drugs, just that we shouldn't be barred by law from doing them if we so choose.

How about this
-If you want to have some short fun at the cost of some physical health, do drugs
-If you want to be conservative and safe and stay in good physical condition, don't do drugs
-Let other people choose whichever they want, and fight for niether a drug-induced OR drug-free america.

Did you even read my reply? I used the rattlesnake as an example that not all things natural are necessarily good for you. I didn't propose to ban rattlesnakes. I am no bible thumper. I don't even go to church on Christmas most of the time. The rest of your comment is pretty low, too. Banning cars? What's that got to do with it? Cars serve a purpose, so does meat, and even rattlesnakes. Marijuana does not, except for making you high. It is harmful not only to the individual, but to society as a whole. Don't know about America, but in Germany you have to pay a certain amount of money to the public health care system. Now when these stoners hit rock bottom, who has to pay for them? Right, the public health care system. That means: The average citizen. The productive citizen, who works his ass of everyday and actually makes money has to pay for these lowlifes pissing their life away.

We don't have a public health care system in the States, so your arguement doesn't apply. But...if we did have a public healthcare system, then by your rationale, we should ban alcohol too. Alcohol ruins plenty of lives and causes loads of health problems.
And marijuana DOES serve a purpose...several, actually. It has medicinal and pain-relief uses. And, yes, it gets you high and alters sensory perception, which can enhance creativity. If pot was banned, 90% of the art and music YOU enjoy would probably not be available.
How bout this: legalize marijuana and treat it like alcohol. Regulate it, tax it, set an age limit, develop punishments for driving while high etc etc.
Your argument does not hold water. In fact, it just shows how narrow-minded you are.

By god you are right. Rattlesnakes are dangerous! Well we need to make it illegal to buy them, sell them, be in possesion of them, and destroy every single rattlesnake we find! Everything that we don't like and deem dangerous needs to be destroyed and outlawed! Cars? People die in cars all the time, Ban em! People drown too, let's get rid of water! People are getting fat in america, time to ban all meat!
It comes down to who should be responsible in deciding what should or shouldn't be allowed. And it's ironic that it's always the bible thumpers in power who want to destroy things that their "god" created.

You're missing something here. The guy who tried to fly wasn't himself when he tried to fly. He was himself... ON ACID. Acid fucks with you, it completely fucks with all of your five senses, and it completely mindfucks you. You CAN OD on acid, and you CAN OD on shrooms. Technically, you CAN OD on pot, too, but it'd take more than you can smoke.
There's no denying that pot and other drugs fuck you up in the short term AND LONG TERM, but I believe that it should be the user's choice whether he/she wants to be able to form coherent sentences when he/she is 90 years old. I don't think the government should be able to say "NO POT FOR JOO!" They should, however, regulate it.
