In my opinion I think that it was good for the charity money, but the song blows, havent we heard it enough already? And to remake a classic like that is going too far. And just look at some of the pricks in the lineup.. Justin Hawkins? Somebody shoot that kid..

Musically, its crap.
Lyrically, its patronising and inaccurate.
In terms of how much it will help, its useless and probably makes things worse in the long run.

Charity is a stopgap solution at best.
Boybands suck a hell of a lot more by comparison though.

Live Aid sucks avoid at all costs. A meaninless money spinner for the record companies. Won't solve a thing in Arfica, least ways untill the wars are stoped and debt repayments sorted out. Also I dont see Sir Bob etc digging into their pockets....
