I have just started a photography course, and as well as doing the course I am just taking random pictures, I'm still getting to grips with using the right apature and shutter speed but i'm getting there. I'm using a 35mm SLR, got a semi-auto as well which i'm gonna start using soon. Black and white film too.
Here is a photo from my first film..

Blurred and out of focus. A disposable camera would turn out better shit than that.

Apparently this dude fails to grasp the concept of "amatuer photography" Yeah, you could go get a point and shoot and get a clear picture, but that isn't the point. Its about using the f-stops and shutter speeds and lighting and an artistic eye to capture what the artist has in his head. If a blurred out dead smurf with skittles is what he was trying to express, then he did a good job.
Knob.

This is mostly correct, but that part about artistic eye and all that crap made me want to vomit.

In response to the last 2 reviews, This is my first film that I have used the camera with and developed myself. Most of the film was terrible over exposed, hopefully I will get better over time.

Maybe it's just the sorry, small size, but I couldn't even tell what it was.
Since there's no subject matter that I can tell, you get a -2.
You get a +2 for exposure and focus though.

A caption would have gotten you a positive score. Is this a picture of feces?

I almost failed black and white photography because I couldn't figure out all that aperture, f-stop, shutter speed bla bla bla. Plus, I have bad eyes. That stuff was stupid. We had an exam at the end involving filters and tons of useless bullshit...walked away with a C+.
During my final photo class the next semester, I got an A+ because I shot nothing but sports using a kickass digital with an awesome lens and autofocus.
I'd appreciate that picture much more if I could figure out what it was...

Is that "Tickle-me Elmo" with the special "Tickler" appendage instead of a right foot?
