RECITAL 3 - Discovery / Damnation

Rubin burned slowly through the heat of his ecstasy like a branch caught in a lava flow.
Each plunge sent his mind reeling between lust and rage until he thought the center of his being would tear in two. Somehow he knew that this time there would be no return from the books wrinkled pages. There would be nothing left of him but his empty body on the couch in his apartment a world away. Nothing left in this place but the carcass of the screaming red demon whose body he wore like a shell made of the purest sin.

Yet somehow, despite the sanity rending power of the frantic pounding union between him and the beast woman in front of him - howling and grinding on her hands and knees - images of the day fought their way through his fading Id.

License plate.

Rock Shelf.

Horned Skeletons.

Yellow Sky... Yellow... like the parchment of the book.

The book - The tome - The trap that had compelled them deeper into its dark country's with each teasing miracle, each delicious taste of perversion, until it understood they were beyond rebellion. It had brought them to hell on earth and set them adrift in the pleasures of the wicked, ignorant and drugged by their own gluttonous lust while their souls faded to nothing.

He understood it all and didn't care. He knew without a shadow of a doubt that each violent penetration of the impossibly large, red veined rod, bridging him and his grunting Demoness, brought him closer to oblivion and yet still he kept on.

With a growl he forced his punctured hand out of Tess's mouth then reached down and under to squeeze the large firm globe which dangled beneath. Once again he tried to force the unwanted images out of his mind so he could revel in the sensation of her red breasts strange weight, and the tiny point of the horn which jutted out from the center of her nipple to pierce his palm.

Tess looked over her shoulder, her face a mask of pleasure and fury then folded her wings back and around him. With each new thrust he felt their leathery embrace on his back, pushing him harder against her grinding, forcing him deeper into the beckoning tightness of her red hot center.

"Split me!" she snarled.

He turned his fevered mind towards marshalling every last ounce of his awesome strength to do as she asked but the images kept coming faster and faster, borne on the wave of each new thrust, each ear splitting cry.

Frustration coupled with his rage and he tilted his head back and let it loose towards the sky with a roar. His deep bellow seemed like it might split the heavens before it dyed out and he found himself looking around, still caught in the rhythm of their brutal union, but somehow at the same time awash in a moment of blinding clarity.

License Plate - The end of the world: A faded rusty testament to the prophecy of the book.

Rock Shelf - The strangely smooth square platform: Jetting out of the cliff like an Alter or gateway to the blasted world beyond.

Horned Skeletons - The remains of Demon's spread around him, bone to bone.

Yellow Sky - The pages of the book, the walls of the trap.

Rubin closed his eyes and tried to lose himself in his lust, but the part of his mind that was still attached to the worried human on the couch a world away rebelled. He opened them again and found himself looking at the skeletons and immediately understood the tale told by their bleached white pattern.

Almost everywhere he looked the story they told was the same. Skull lay beside skull, femur beside femur. All around him lay the remains of couples where they had fallen, lifeless at the moment of bliss.

"SPLIT ME!"

He began to turn his head towards Tess but stopped as something else caught his eye. Slowly he began to recognize discrepancies in the web of bones around him. Here and there he could make out a skeleton lying alone, the back of the skull missing or lying around it in shards.

Unlike the others, none of them had a twin, and a quick mental inventory told him that each bore the smaller horns of a Demoness.

Stroke.

Rubin turned back to his sweating partner as she continued along the panting path of nothingness laid out before them.

Stroke.

He tilted his head back and barred his fangs at the sky as he realized that sin would send him out of the world as surely as it had led him in.

"Yes" he croaked "Sin... Sin and blood"

"Yes! Yes! Sin and blood!" Tess echoed blindly, oblivious to his thoughts as she teetered on the edge of climax.

Stroke.

He looked down at the rock in his hand and willed himself to stay and die with his love.

Stroke.

"Do it!" she screamed.

"Oh no Tess" he moaned and held the stone high above his thick horns with both hands.

Stroke - Stroke - Stroke.

"YES! YES! NOW!" She screamed "DO IT!!!"

With all the self loathing within him, he brought the stone down on the back of her head fast and hard with Demonic might, then screamed his rage and loss into the hell around him as everything faded to red.

He never stopped to look at her lifeless body where it sat slumped on the couch.

He never saw the way her blood flowed freely in thick rivulets down the side of her face to the open pages beneath, disappearing like water into a sponge.

He didn't grab his keys, his jacket or his shoes.

He got up and ran screaming from his house.

He ran from the horror of what he'd become. He fled from his murdered love and the tome. Insane, and frenzied and lost in the knowledge that he'd escaped from the trap but had done a demons work in the process.

He ran for the rest of his life and never stopped.

Never stopped.

Never stopped yearning for the book.

Sex, death, horror and betrayal... I'd know this was a Snark post even if I came across it sealed in an ancient Egyptian tomb.
