you know, i've been thinking... we haven't had a good rape post in a long time. don't you guys miss the days when you'd load up Ubersite and there were plenty of great rape posts to choose from on the front page? i know i do.

Terrible people? Fine. I bet this post will make the Most Heated list. I can understand why people 'might' be offended by this sort of thing, but come on. People with a racist streak make me furious, so when I see posts of that nature on Ubersite, I ignore them instead of giving a -2 and ranting. The only thing that does is make sure that I'll be spending the next half hour to an hour defending my position...over the internet...against strangers.

Joking about stuff like this DOES cause me to lose some respect in a person because I feel is it a very disrespectful thing to do. It's as simple as that. I had a LOT of respect for you Hidden, and I still do. This post merely injured it a bit.
Do I expect to be offended on Ubersite? Of course I do. I wasn't shocked by the content of this post. A bit surprised because of the poster, but not shocked. It's certainly not the worst post I have ever seen.
Do I think you shouldn't post it? Well, yes. But that's because I think this kind of joke is horrible. Do I think you shouldn't have the right to post it? Of course not. You have the right to post whatever you want, as does everyone else. And I also have the right comment anything I want.

This is one of the less offensive posts about rape, I think. However, that doesn't make the subject matter any more tasteful.
I cannot joke about rape, no more than I can miscarriage or domestic abuse. Having been in that place, they don't tickle my sense of humour. Why do I click? Morbid curiosity, I guess.
