Have you heard of this yet. Yer fellow Vermonters wantto pack up and leave. A scary thought. I wonder what will happen if they try? I bet GW will go in with tanks to Liberate them.

Flattered, but at least in the States you seem to have more national unity-despite the polls and unpopularity worldwide. Be prepared to deal with Canada's inner warfare:
-Angry hicks from out west
-Queerbeckers
-Drunk ass aboriginals/natives/chiefs/injuns who feel we owe them something (more booze rights)
-Miserable Maritimers
-Newfies.....cute, friendly, but fierce.
-Ontario. I love it but then again I grew up here. Don't trust the provincial government.

Perhaps Vermont should take a lesson from South Carolina, the first state to secede from the United States back in 1860. They, along with the rest of the states who seceded and formed the Confederate States of America, got their asses handed to them by the Union Army, and sadly, the Palmetto State still hasn't quite recovered its dignity.

Seceding isn't particularly easy. Even if the movement is very widespread like here. Recent news reported that the federal government was ready to send in the army had we win the vote for seperating.
So it's pretty impossible that tiny meaningless organizations like this, or the one like in Alberta or Ontario or B-C succeed. Ontario's one is pretty gay though (http://ontariousa.org)
