I slept fitfully in the cave behind the waterfall. Several times I woke thinking I'd heard something coming, entering the cave, but each time I sat up waiting for the noise only to find myself drifting off again several minutes later. I woke the next morning sore from sleeping on the hard rock and feeling un-rested. I began to eat some of the fruit I'd brought back with me last night until my thoughts turned to the two men I'd pushed to a watery grave. I decided I wasn't so hungry after all.
I wasn't sure what to do now. I had to make it through one more night, I had little food, my hiding place was good but if anyone from the show knew of it I would be in trouble before too long. So I surveyed the small cave looking for anything that might be of use. There were a few loose rocks on the floor of the cave and I found one that fit in my palm quite nicely. For hand-to-hand fighting the rock would be great but if the hunter finds me I doubt I'll have the opportunity to bean him with it. It didn't take much longer to find that there really was nothing else in this cave I could use so I sat down to begin the interminable task of waiting.
Having nothing else to do all day I know I dozed. I tried to stay alert but the boredom was really getting to me. I snacked on the fruit from the night before but found it completely unsatisfying. Finally the light began to fade from the day. I waited until it was completely dark before venturing out of the cave. I was going stir crazy, I needed to get up and do something. So I went and found several vines and some broken coconuts, I gathered some more fruit and then returned to the cave. I tied the broken coconut shells to the vines and stretched the vine across the entrance to the cave. I had no idea if it would work or not but if someone did come behind the falls I wanted as much notice as I could get. I settled in for another uncomfortable night thinking back on the events of the last six weeks.
I thought of the excitement of being notified that I'd been selected for the show, the anticipation as I traveled to meet the new cast and crew, and the experience of flying the ultra lights. The ultra lights had been an incredible experience until I saw my first indication that things on this show were awry. I thought back on my meeting Gina, falling in love and then the loss of that love. I thought of all the loss, so many lives taken during their prime. The truly amazing thing is that even during these trials, the losses, there had been brilliant moments of happiness shared between people thrust into the most horrid experience of their lives. I tried to focus on those shining moments of happiness and soon after the tears started I cried myself to sleep.
I woke to the clattering sounds of my coconut doorbell. I sprang to my feet and pushed myself as close to the wall of the cave as possible. Slowly a form emerged from the mist of the waterfall and just as I drew the rock back to brain the nearing person I realized it was Denny.
Denny was lurching toward me with no sign of recognition in his eyes. In fact his eyes were glassy and seemed not to be seeing anything. I caught him as he stumbled and gently lowered him to the floor of the cave. He was covered in blood and lifting his shirt I discovered a large hole in his midsection. I looked closely and saw that there were bits of entrails exposed and the blood had slowed to a trickle. After my inspection of him I tried to talk to him. I called to him several times but thinking back on it now I realize that Denny was gone before he even made it to my arms.
As I closed Denny's eyes it dawned on me that the hunter had done this, if the hunter shot him, then I could be sure he was tracking him to collect his souvenirs. I quickly decided it was time for me to go, I grabbed my rock and began to walk out from behind the falls. As I reached the edge of the waterfall I saw movement at the edge of the woods. I quickly turned back to the cave. Knowing the hunter was coming and that I was trapped I had two choices, the eternal survival choices, fight or flight. I dove into the water below the falls and was instantly slammed to the bottom of the river. I fought as I was battered by the relentless fall of water until I finally broke free of the tow and fought for the surface. Gasping for air I was pulled down the river, I decided to stay with the river and let it carry me. I only have this night and the following day left to evade the hunter. If I can stay out of his way for a short eighteen hours I'm home free.

Well, we all knew everyone else died, we all knew Ben would live. Now it's all down to how the hell he managed.
I for one can't wait to read about it.

Thank you all for reading this and being patient. I was all ready to finish this on my vacation during the holidays when my damned laptop died on me the night before I left. Unfortunately I didn't have access to a computer or any of my working files so I was stuck. I'm committed to completing this SOON, it is after all near the end. Thanks again for waiting for me!

I started reading these at the beginning of last weekend and finally got around to finishing up with it. It was a rather remarkable read and I believe you have the potential of a novel writer. Look into getting it copyrighted and published before someone steals it.
......... not that I would do that or anything
