I have already typed this message once an tried to post, but due to the cookie handling on the computer at my mom's I have lost the message, so, here's Polly...along with the first half of the album. I know you're excited...
This version of Polly is for the one that requested it. I would have never written it this way if not for them.

ETS- I think you're brilliant and I don't believe the people who automatically dis these as mere "covers" understand exactly what's up. Plus, you obviously have talent as portrayed with "Bottles." I enjoyed it thoroughly. Not enough rock is done in 3. Do a song in 7 (like Floyd's 'Money') and I'll be your love slave.

Hey Stabkill...I have made a recording of "If You Could Read My Mind" by Gordon Lightfoot. It's low quality, but I have it if you want it.
It was originally on a disc I made for my ex...one of those drunkened, pining-for-love recordings with just guitar and vocal. There were a few covers and a couple originals on it.
Let me know if you want it, and I'll either post it or email it to you.

Tuesday: we are working on an album of originals. We have been for over a year now. We are getting to the point where we have about 30 songs in various stages of completion. We hope to have a complete original record in the next few months.
This Nirvana thing serves multiple purposes.
1. A nice break from monotony.
2. A means of exposure.
3. A tribute to a musical influence.
We are working concurrently on our stuff and the Nirvana stuff.

Of course we'll consider anything, but as far as covers are concerned, we really don't do them. This Nirvana thing is an exception... To be honest, we usually don't like to make plans, but prefer to just let the wind sort of carry us along. The original song that's linked to this post stared out as an off-the-cuff bassline that was simply layered upon until the completed track finally emerged.
There are about 35 tracks worth of shit just piled in there.
This Nirvana thing is both fun for us, as well as a tribute to one of our early musical heros and biggest influences. We don't have any plans at present to officially accept requests, but as I have mentioned before, I am apt to drunkened whimsy. :P

Incidentally, it has come to my attention that some people have linked to our music from other sites besides this one... I don't know who they were, but I'd like to say 'thanks'.
I think it's really cool that someone thought enough of our stuff to go out of their way and try to spread it to others. That is, after all, the whole object of this recording business for us anyway.

The thing about some of these songs is that they will polarize people. If I do them rocked up, they fans of the style of the others will probably hate it...but if I give it the alt-country swing treatment, then fans of the original will tear me apart...
