I just read a story about how NBA star Latrell Sprewell was pulled over at a "random counter-terrorism checkpoint" in New York.

Does this scare anyone else? I live in the midwest and we don't have any terrorism checkpoints. Are they common in other areas?

Not in Vegas. I'm not against homeland security, but random CT checkpoints? C'mon. They would proabaly work about 0.1% as well as DUI checkpoints and if you're a good liar, they don't work worth a shit either.

I havent seen them in SA,TX. But i've been pulled over like 5 times in the last month. I think that just deals with profiling. Aparently white people are not supposed to drive around black neighborhoods that are known for drugs and prostitution at 4 in the morning. Damn cops!
