ya, i dont know what the fuck happened between .9 and 1 but i do know i don't want to go back to using ie, or netscape, i havent tried opera yet. but i might later.

I am using firefox now, but I am not sure I like it any better than Opera, which is what I typically use.

Not a single one of my extensions (apart from the calendar) or my theme that i use in 0.9 works in 1.0. I think that the best part of firefox is the option to mold it to my needs on how i use the internet. Now, you could blame the people who create the extensions, but when you upgrade from windows ME to XP you dont have to go buy all new XP only programs. PS1 games play on a PS2 console.
At one point in time, (possibly due to the stress on Mozilla's servers when 1.0 was first released) it was stuck trying to download something automatically and would never open. I'm lucky I had an OLD OLD OLD version of regular Mozilla, or I would be fucked with no internet browser.
On top of that, the way it installs on your machine, using its uninstall or even uninstalling from control panel doesn't get rid of it. I had to dig through folders that I didn't even know were on my computer to get rid of it, so I could go back to 0.9.
Bottom line is, if I can't use the things that make Firefox stand out from all the other browsers, I might as well just get an ad-blocker for IE. So that's why I went back to 0.9.

The developers took a huge step backwards from Firefox 0.9 to 1.0. After I upgraded, it took me about 2 hours to figure out how to get back to 0.9.
But firefox does indeed destroy IE. That is all.

Nonsense. I can't think of one thing that regular users would notice, that has experienced a downgrade from 0.9 to 1.0
Can you name one?
I like that bar that shows up at the top when its blocking a popup, or you need an additional plugin. Very helpful, informative, and non-intrusive.
