This post is very short.
I suppose you can see that though.
What the hell is up with all this legal/illegal bullshit?
Of course the war was illegal, Saddam made the laws in Iraq and Im sure he didn't like it.
How the fuck can you have an illegal war?
And don't give me all that UN crap, if OPEC got together with the League of African Nations and 'sanctioned' a war against Turkmenistan would you not object?
On a lighter note, here is a dead clown.

This was fucking terrible.
To rebut this properly would take time though, and as it is I have an important International Relations assignment due in tomorrow, on an issue very similar to this, and I have done shit-all.
So I will come back and do it later.

I have to agree here- it's like all the stuff about chemical and nuclear weapons- it's ok for us to have them but not the other side.... and the fact that winners of any wars get to write the history books- we hear all about nazi atrocities in WW2 but not about the terrible things i'm sure we did.
--------------------
We hear all about nazi atrocities in WW2 because most people would agree that rounding up millions of children, gasing them and thowing them into big pits to hide their bodies does have perhaps just
a bit of historical significants. But yea maybe the main stream version of history is a little one-sided.

My great-grandfather was forced to bayonet a baby in PNG because the commanders were almost certain Japan would win the war, and they didn't want any half-japanese babies growing up to rule Australia.
He said once "Never trust what they tell you. Whatever the Japanese or the Germans did, we did just as bad."

You'll never hear it.
In WWII the story is always we dropped the bomb to save all these americans soldiers lives, and we didn't bomb Tokyo. The truth is we had the bomb and wanted to use it and show the world how absolutley badass we were.
If you were playing Command and Conquer and you were on the verge of defeating your enemy with just your regular troops, but then you get a message telling you you nuke is ready, you'd pull your troops back and you'd use it even though it wasn't nessecary, or be like me and hit both my troops and them to double the carnage.
I forget my point

If you don't like the war, then it's illegal.
We don't do the whole Congress voting for war thing anymore, it hurts the incumbent's chances, you know.
